Ever Thought of Quitting Hive?

When I joined Hive, I got a basic and reasonable level of knowledge about the blockchain. I knew about what it offers in terms of rewards, learning, growth, connections and all of that. I also got enlightened on some other aspects and on what the blockchain entails, in a way. But I had to know more myself and seek out deeper knowledge on the things I was already aware of. I must say that I didn't really know if I would stay this long on Hive.

Several motivations and encouragements got me into the blockchain. I didn't consider it would be this journey so far. I didn't really see whether I would still be here today. Also, I didn't really see myself leaving just like that. So, maybe this is just me strolling into the web3 blockchain, not knowing what will be in the long run, but I was willing to come in and have a taste of what it feels like to be here. Well, I'm still here.

Here then goes the question, have I ever wanted to quit Hive? I've been here for a while so the question is a valid one. It made me think if there was really a time I considered that. There were moments I felt like I could probably need a break from the blockchain, to face some other things offline or even online. I must say that it wasn't and still isn't easy showing up here almost every day to write, engage and connect with other Hivers.

It hasn't been easy, especially now that Hive isn't what it used to be. This, I'll say is the most trying time since I joined the blockchain. If there was a time that suggested to me to quit the blockchain or take that break essentially, it's this period. How I get to show up here speaks to the fact that the blockchain has gotten a hold of me. I'll say the reason I keep showing up and haven't left is because of the connections and growth.

I've seen people leave this period, and well, I can't blame them. More than rewards, connection and growth have kept me back here. Thankfully, there are still some rewards that come in. Another reason I haven't left is that, though this is an uneasy time for the blockchain and Hivers, I figured it's an opportunity to also build my account. And I'm glad to be able to do some of that. Also, I got to learn new things and experience some developments too.

I don't think I've really given the thought of quitting Hive. I've thought of taking a break at some point but I kept showing up for some reason. I believe that if I still choose to be here even at a time like this that has discouraged many, I'll be here for some more and a longer time. Perhaps, I won't even be quitting. As long as there's a reason, in the absence of the many other reasons to show up, I will. Except that a strong situation or reason requires I leave.
