Firstly everyone has it's own definition of a real man. It can occur to you as a man who is mature, grown to the level of knowing right from wrong while to some its a man that is capable of taking care of himself and others around him.
We are all entitled to our opinion, my own definition of a real man is "A person that exhibit innate and core values,a balanced sense and ability to hold his own in any situation coupled with a mature way of handling relationships and responsibilities".
We all have one challenge or the other while growing up,During these challenge it's either it make us or break us depending on how you address the challenges that we faced. All that glitters are not Gold, it begin to sink at some point when responsibilities calls unexpectedly.
To be sincere I wasn't prepared a bit for what I was going through back then but when it comes you just have to take the bull by the horn.
I am not a lazy guy in any form but back then in university days I basically got all I needed from home. I have a caring mother coupled with a capable Dad, this makes me relent in pushing for some other things I can also venture into to make earnings for myself. At some point things begin to change drastically, there was a negative change in fortune my parents couldn't provide all that I needed in school. I'm not used to that phase of life I found myself back then but I knew I needed to make some decisions before I lose it all, I meant all that I have laboured for like the inconvenient classes, night studies and the set goals.
I made a bold step, that's what difficult situations can help you do most times. I decide to give it my all, I begin to sort for jobs that could help me with some money to cater for my feeding and also to get basics stuff I needed in school. I begin to serve at parties get paid and sort my bills. In no time I broaden my network I had connections with lots of caterers, I assemble lot of people who happens to be in same shoe and I assigned them to different caterers that needed their services over time. With this I gathered alot of money for myself.
I will stop here for now hopefully come next Sunday I will post the concluding part.
Self improvement and discovery is wonderful. One usually doesn't attempt it until they are in an unusual position in life that forces them to make alternate decision. But one thing is you never know what you're capable of until you put yourself out there.
