Trying Fun and Scary Carnival Rides at Naval Town with my Siblings

Hello dear community, I would like to share with you in detail one of the joyful and scary moment of our family outing.

After our barbecue dinner at the plaza and before we head home my younger brothers wanted to try the Carnival rides and they had been encouraging me to try as well. My last memory of experiencing Carnival rides was when I was still 7 years old and I was riding in the Carousel which used to be my favorite. Yet, my brothers kept on insisting me to try an extreme ride. They suggested I try the Titanic and the Ferris Wheel. Honestly, I felt both excited and scared especially I can see the big rides nearby and I can hear many people on the rides screaming and shouting.

After a few minutes of thinking, I agreed to go with them inside the Grand Carnival where we need to pay 50.00 each before entering. I’m still not convinced to try any rides, I just want to see my siblings try the rides while I watch and take videos of them from the side. Well, their real motive of dragging me with them is to make me pay for all of us and their rides. I really have witty brothers but as a generous elder sister, I gave in and agreed to pay for everything. Yet, the one scary thing happened, I just learned that I lost my wallet. I can’t find it inside my bag when I was trying to reach for money to pay for the entrance. So, my brothers and I have to go back and trace our path and even go back to the place where we ate to find my wallet. Our excitement actually turned into disappointment. We searched for a few minutes and I thought that my situation is hopeless. I don’t think my wallet will be returned to me specially in the midst of a great crowd. Yet, I was so surprised as it was announced on stage that they have found my wallet. I felt relieved and my spirit was lifted. So, I hurriedly went to the front of the stage to claim my wallet from the hosts. I felt so embarrassed that my name was announced on stage and there were many people watching.

My family just laughed at me specially my mom and dad who was unaware of the situation. I kept reminding them to be careful of their things yet I ended losing my wallet. After that embarrassing moment, my brothers were happy too because we can finally enter the Carnival.

Finally, we got to enter the Carnival. There’s a lot of people and colorful rides. My brothers headed straight to the Titanic ride which costs 75.00 each. They haven’t forced me to try the ride as it really appeared so scary for me. I’m even shouting while watching them being swayed higher and faster. After the 3-minute ride, they got off safely.

They have convinced me to ride the Ferris Wheel at least. So after paying 50.00 for my brother and me, we got in. While waiting for our turn I was still hesitating. Until the time has come for us to enter the cabin. This time I can’t really retreat. At first, it was smooth as we’re slowly being lifted. I was still enjoying the sight and the fresh air from above. Yet, when all the cabins were filled in with passengers, my fear started. The up and down cycle had become faster. I can only close my eyes while screaming on the top of my lungs. My brother was just filming me. It felt like I’m about to pass out screaming and requesting for the operator to stop so I could go out. But, there’s no stopping. I waited until it’s really time to stop. Thankful, I got to go out conscious. People were laughing at me. I was full of embarrassment tonight.

After experiencing the Ferris Wheel, my brothers tried shooting balls, where you could win a prize for any successful shot. They paid another 50.00 for 5 balls but never shot even once. We have spent quite an amount and it’s late so we agreed to finally get out of the Carnival. I had a great time with my siblings.
