Perfecting the seagull goosestep!

Hello Hello to all Hivians, Hivers and indeed any bird lovers that are reading this.

Some of my favourite posts to write on Hive are the feathered friends posts, especially as the rewards go to buying their food in the park.

It seems fluffing ages since I posted a birdy post! And that is because it has been fluffing ages... Then again my Hive posting is down on what it used to be. However I have a feeling it may be on the up in the future. We are moving flats in a few weeks to one that has a big tree in the back which I intend hanging some bird accessories to. Let's see if I can get a snap or two!

Ironically this post is about seagulls and they are pests. Protected pests I might add that I refuse to feed!

This happened on Tuesday when I had to do some errands all over town, you can read about it in my Scottish High Street Staples! should you so desire!

I am headed home and spotted this pair by the old Postings shopping centre or mall, which has been demolished and now people use it is a free car park!

image.png

Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Laurel and Hardy or maybe plain old shit 1 and shit 2!

image.png

I had been spotted!!

See that tilt of hiis head ... That is how they look at you...

image.png

They cam closer

image.png

Surely the human has food!!!

image.png

Oh bugger it, he has none, so back to foraging we go!

image.png

Bully mode

Can you see the seagull flying trying to shoo away the crow?

image.png

Crow says fluff you seagull, Imma staying here!

image.png

Seagull takes to the car to be the King of The Castle!

image.png

Seagull stroll time

Let's see what is over there shall we...

image.png

Cue the head tilt, yep I am still here watching you Mr Seagull!

image.png

Goosestep perfected.

Was it the East German soldiers that did it, or a general communist thing. But here we go, seagull has perfected it lol!

image.png

Will he cross the pavement?

image.png

Shows me his ARSE!

In the meantime he shows me his behind lol!

image.png

But yes ... still fluffing watches me! That head tilt you know it now!

image.png

image.png

This post though, is an entry for this week's Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 277 hosted by the wonderful @nelinoeva in the fantastically fun Feathered Friends community on Hive

image.png

image.png

And I shall pick this one for the entry

image.png

That was a very tricky choice to make and a process of elimination. None of them really stood out, as it was more the story that made the impression on me lol!

This one won it and the title was craft around it, yes he perfected that goosestep march!

What do you think? Was that your favourite, or don't you give a fluff?

Seagulls hang out in the parking lot where I work all the time. I think the birds that fascinate me the most are red winged blackbirds. Do you have those over there. It's funny how you can consistently find them hanging out on reeds in the ditches along the country roads here.

0E-8 BEE

I do love blackbirds, but I have not seen any red winged ones, do both males and females have those wings?

That I don't know, but they are pretty common around here. They just have a thin strip of red, but they are pretty easy to spot and they always hang out on the flimsiest of reeds in the ditches along country roads.

I do miss your entries and stories about the birds. πŸ™‚
Seagulls are bandits, very naughty and we have to protect the stray cats from them while we feed them. The seagulls aren't afraid to pinch the cat food.

Hehe thank you Neli, I shall try to get into the habit of snapping more and writing more as they are fun stories :)

0E-8 BEE

Hahaha. I laughed so hard at your jokes! I think you nailed the photo: it looks like the seagull is marching or in the military. A big Sunday hug!

0E-8 BEE

Jeje thank you Nancy! I am glad I could make you laugh, but yes marching in the military is exactly what I thought it was. Do you say goose step for that type of marching? A sunday hug all the way across the water and into the sea..
