Thanksgiving – a heart full of gratitude/ Erntedank – ein Herz voller Dankbarkeit

Hello lovelies, I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving Day.
Every year, harvest time is a sacred moment for me. As the fields empty and the baskets fill, I feel how blessed we are. This year was particularly bountiful – nature's fruits were rich, powerful and full of flavour. I harvested every tomato, every berry, every root with a silent ‘thank you’. Not only to the earth, but to the one who created it: God.

And because gratitude is not just a feeling but also an action, I put together a harvest box for the farmer who made his land available to me. Packed with love, presented with respect. Inside: the best of the garden – golden apples, fragrant thyme, pickled cucumbers, a jar of the finest plum jam, delicious blossom salt made from flowers that still carry the essence of summer. Each ingredient tells of the work, patience and blessings that lay on this soil. For God gave rain, sun and fresh air – everything that promoted growth.

It was important to me to thank him not only for the land, but also for the trust, for the peace and quiet I am able to experience there, and for the connection to the earth that I was able to discover there in complete tranquillity. This box was my expression of appreciation – not only for him, but also for the Creator who works through people.
The autumn equinox is already behind us, and the Feast of Tabernacles is just around the corner. I am looking forward to a time of reflection in the open air – but today, at this moment, my heart is filled with gratitude for the harvest. I am filled with humility and joy for what has grown – and for what I have been able to share.

May the balance between giving and receiving always be maintained and never allow me to become arrogant, so that I do not set a trap for myself.
I have compiled my most treasured pictures of the harvest once again and hereby say: Praise be to God in heaven – glory be to Him through Jesus Christ. 🙏 💚

Hallo ihr Lieben, euch allen einen gesegneten Tag des Dankes.
Die Zeit der Ernte ist für mich jedes Jahr ein heiliger Moment. Wenn die Felder leerer werden und die Körbe sich füllen, spüre ich, wie sehr wir beschenkt wurden. Dieses Jahr war besonders üppig – die Früchte der Natur waren reich, kraftvoll und voller Geschmack. Ich habe jede Tomate, jede Beere, jede Wurzel mit einem stillen „Danke“ geerntet. Nicht nur an die Erde, sondern an den, der sie geschaffen hat: Gott.

Und weil Dankbarkeit nicht nur ein Gefühl, sondern auch eine Handlung ist, habe ich dem Bauern, der mir sein Grundstück zur Verfügung gestellt hat, eine Erntedank-Kiste zusammengestellt. Mit Liebe gepackt, mit Respekt überreicht. Darin: das Beste aus dem Garten – goldene Äpfel, duftender Thymian, eingelegte Gurken, ein Glas feinsten Zwetschgenmus, das leckere Blütensalz aus den Blüten, die noch den Sommer in sich tragen. Jede Zutat erzählt von der Arbeit, der Geduld und dem Segen, der auf diesem Boden lag. Denn Gott gab Regen, Sonne und frische Luft – all das, was das Wachstum förderte.

Es war mir wichtig, ihm nicht nur für das Land zu danken, sondern für das Vertrauen, für die Stille, die ich dort erleben darf, und für die Verbindung zur Erde, die ich dort in aller Ruhe für mich entdecken konnte. Diese Kiste war mein Ausdruck von Wertschätzung – nicht nur für ihn, sondern auch für den Schöpfer, der durch Menschen wirkt.

Die Herbst-Tagundnachtgleiche liegt bereits hinter uns, und das Laubhüttenfest steht bald bevor. Ich freue mich auf die Zeit der Besinnung unter freiem Himmel – aber heute, in diesem Moment, steht mein Herz ganz im Zeichen des Erntedanks. Ich bin erfüllt von Demut und Freude über das, was gewachsen ist – und über das, was ich teilen durfte.

Möge sich die Waage von Geben und Nehmen immer halten und mich niemals hochmütig werden lassen, damit ich mir selbst keinen Fallstrick lege.
