It's Tuesday in some parts of the world already and you know what that means – time to share some tunes for the brilliant #threetunetuesday initiative started by @ablaze!
Here in the UK we love to talk about the weather!
It's either too hot or it's raining and too cold... There is just no pleasing some people 🤣
I personally love the sun and warmth that is a UK heatwave, but I am in the minority!
Our weather has dropped in temperature this week and I even see there is hurricane Erin on the horizon ...
We have been pretty lucky this year as I think it has been a good summer overall that started in May and had some glorious days in June and July!
Maybe we shall get some Indian summer days next month!
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
@ablaze started #ttt 221 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Nirvana III for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 220 - win 6 HBI
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!
My inspiration as I mentioned earlier is the end of summer
I picked three songs that conjure up that image to me, and one is one that I saw live.
There could be umpteen that I chose, but I think this is nice cross selection!
Today's "Three Tunes Tuesday" is dedicated to the end of summer.
First up we are going back to the 80s! No shock there then 🤣
Some of you might recognise the name Don Henley without knowing why ... he was the co-founder of The Eagles.
This however is from his later solo career, and what I remember more than his Eagles stuff.
The Boys of Summer is an absolute classic and was released on October 26, 1984. It's about looking back on a lost love from a past summer and the bittersweet feeling of a new season approaching.
The lyrics and synth-heavy sound create a mood that is both reflective and melancholic, perfect for some of you in these final warm days, not looking at anyone in particular 🤣
Right now we nip forward a year to a song that I saw live.
When I was working in London I had two girl engineers working for me that liked Bryan Adams. He was playing a summer gig near London and they wanted to go..
The supporting band was ... ZZ Top! I was right in there, and being the gentleman took them there for the day.
Though it was actually released in 1985, Bryan Adams’ "Summer of '69" has become an anthem for looking back at the best years of your life.
It's a high-energy rock song that's all about teenage dreams, first bands, and a summer that felt like it would never end. It's a great choice for reminiscing about a time when life felt simpler and full of possibility.
It was pretty good live I must admit, but his show was not a patch on the crazy guys from ZZ Top!
Finally we have to come forward a couple of decades!
Who doesn't love Green Day?
This tune is from their American Idiot album which was a bit of a comeback album!
It was released as a single on June 13, 2005 and is a powerful ballad about loss and moving on.
It’s a great way to close out the summer with a powerful and emotional punch.
I used punch as I just got bit by a bloody mosquito and punched myself 🤣
Which was your favourite walking tune or is it one of the many others that could have been chosen? Or have you never heard of these artists?!?
What tunes are you sharing this Tuesday? Let me know in the comments below!
Note: The 3 YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant happy fun and terrific Tuesday until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Those songs are nice. 3rd song I Always hear before. And I think there is a popular song from Bryan Adams that I can't remember the title😌😌
Summer of 69 I am sure is Bryan Adams's most famous song hehe
Cool mix of tunes!
I remember hearing Wake Me Up When September Ends for first time at The record release show the day that album came out in 2004. I hadn’t bought the album yet since I was gonna be at show and buy it there. Nobody knew it would be as big as there 1994 Dookie album but something felt magical being one of 800 people at the American Idiot release show the day it came out. Was at small New York City Venue.
I got the ticket somewhere but can’t find it at moment. !PIZZA !ALIVE
Wow you pulled that out of the bag, that would have been so cool. I always wondered why they called it American Idiot! Small venues really are awesome, some of the best gigs I saw were in small venues.
It's nice that summer would just about to end in your country not like here in Philippines that almost everyday is raining and some parts are flooding.
I am sorry for your rain but the end of summer is sad for me. I don't like the cold!

Nice selection, my favorite has to be Bryan Adams on this bunch, but all three are excellent. You had a great picture of that cute dog retrieving it's ball from the water. That dog loves the water!
The dog was cute, I have a heap of dog and water pics from the beach, always cute shots to share :)
My favorite will always be Bryan Adams, and I love his song 'Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?' Here the rainy season has arrived, but there is also heat. There are still vacations! A hug, Ed
Stay dry Nancy :)
