Savings for women's day on a beautiful warm Sunday
Hello Silver Bloggers and Hello Savers ...
Yesterday was women's day, but in reality I think everyday should be a women's day. I was brought up that you should treat women with respect every day end of story.
However in the spirit of things, I asked Mrs T if she fancied doing anything over the weekend.
She did mention as we had been having nice weather it would be fun to go the beach to do a spot of beachcombing.
So I figured we could combine that with a spot of shopping on the way back, as she had pointed a laptop tray that was on sale in the middle of the aisle in Lidl on Sunday! These apps and newsletters are great.
So down we popped onto the beach after buying a breakfast roll, gotta have some street food afterall and support local economies!
The weather was gorgeous although it was a bit hazy over the sea.
Morning was sorted though!
You can't beat getting some healthy fresh sea air.
One good thing about the sun coming out, is that dogwalkers will take their dog to the beach for a treat and don't they just love frolicking in the surf!
Being as it was Mrs T's day, I did pick up alot of seaglass and not take that many pictures!
But guess who we saw on the way back from the beach...

Yeah spring is on its way. We had a mini heatwave for March but the rumour is that cold weather is on the way again!
So we made it to Lidl and sure enough Mrs T was right. In the middle aisle they did indeed have these laptop tray things!
Only three left....
Well two popped into my basket..
I did spend but heyho it was a saving too.. It has space for my phone my tablet my mouse and the my laptop which is cool.

But we are in the tenth weekend of 2025 and so here is my tenth weekly report of my Saturday Savers Club participation for 2025.

I shall be Using the Penny a Day Savings Challenge
Primary Goal 1 = 667.95 HBD
Every now and then, real life scuppers our plans.
I had to do some rearranging of things and at the moment 0 HBD is in my savings. Hopefully I can start to get that back on track.
Secondary Goal 2 = 0.01095996 BTC
Whether or not I meet this target will depend on the price of Bitcoin.
The amount of Bitcoin I have now is ... still ... 0.00156829
So no progress on BTC! I have been juggling crypto around to do some things so will get back to BTC saving soon.
It is fun to collect things .... Now it is $HBD and $BTC.. Of course I collect more!
There we have it, it should be an interesting year!
My SSC goals for 2025 with progress to date against planned progress of 16.44% are :
Goal 1 = 667.95 HBD, To Date HBD, 0% progress.
Goal 2 = 0.01095996 BTC, To Date 0.00156829, 14.31% progress
Week 10 Goals and N2Hs
There are 52 weeks of course in a year, so I do have plenty of time to catch up my primary and secondary goals!
Verdict for Week 10
❌ DERAILMENT
It was another 2/10 week. I am giving myself 1 point for the nice 2 have goals ... and 1 point for writing daily!
However I got the yips this week and this is my first post anywhere since Wednesday! So next week's secondary HP goal will be slowed down..
Touch wood I can get put the HBD back into savings and will get the BTC autoinvest rejuvenated too!

Oh the beachhhhhh! How I miss going in there. Until now I still haven't visited the nearby beach, been yearssssss since I last visited one. Lol. You sure had a lovely time in there with Mrs. T. With the nice view, the fresh air and the smell of the sea, that's a good company to have during that kind of moment ano? UwU. Anyways, your HBD savings progress is like mine. I had to use some of it and coz of that my savings depleting rather than increasing 😭😆😆
Yeah the beach is so close, only a ten minute walk that need to make the time to use it. It is so easy not to go lol but yeah I love it.
Ah life Ruffa gets us sometimes, at least we had HBD to use!
There are so many 'days'. Like you, I believe we should think about these people and issues everyday.

Lap trays have really come on since the last time I bought one! What a bargain!

Yes this is some tray and a half. She had been going on about it ever since she got the email. Me thought no problem goto the beach first. I nearly get a right old bollocking when there was only three left.

Beach combing is a really such a lovely and calming pastime, and a great way to just let all the anxieties and turbulence of the world melt away!

Oh yes beach combing is so much fun. There really is nothing like being out in the sea air letting everything drift away. Cannot recommend it highly enough :)
What a great place to enjoy the beach! Shells and sea glass to be found everywhere.
I should make that my BTC goal too, I really need to bump up my sats this year. You can never have too much BTC!
Yeah it is a cool beach, usually I go on a Friday when less busy.
Yeah BTC is the daddy of them all for good reason, and you are right, one can never have too much BTC!

How wonderful! There's nothing like a walk on the beach and if there's shopping afterwards, perfect! I like your philosophy: it's just a matter of doing it. Good or bad, it doesn't matter. I'm low on posting scores too, but hopefully next week will be better. A bumblebee hug ;)
