It's Sunday today and the weather for an alleged summer is fluffing dreich to put it mildly. It's not been very warm at all, in fact it has been windy and raining today!
Of course there is always good news on the horizon!
I have been busy making the next installment of the Silver Bloggers Chronicles prompt.
Hopefully people will have as much fun writing about it as I had thinking about it!
Gone are the days when summer meant going to music festivals and partaking in a libation or three!
Mrs T though had set her sights on a festival this year...
She told me a couple of months about it, so I thought that would be a great excuse to have a long weekend away.
The festival is in Perth. Not Perth in Western Australia but Perth on the banks of the river Tay in the East of Scotland. A place I know a fair bit about. We have stayed there before for weekends but not for about ten years I reckon.
The festival is over two days and I eventually found out the tickets were going on sale at 7pm on July 6th!
Came the email that Mrs T forwarded to me at 7.06 pm tonight!
Eek, pull your finger out I said to myself.
I had already booked accommodation for 3 nights in a hotel in the city centre.
Now it was time to get the festival tickets.
Do we go on Saturday only, do we go on Sunday only or do we do both days!
There were no discounts for a weekend ticket as such.
I asked Mrs T what she wanted, so she went to consult the program and see who was on each day!
Turns out it is pretty much the same people on both days...
Have you guessed what sort of festival it is yet?
Answer π
They seem to be making a big deal of it. It is on 30 & 31 August 2025 at the Perth Concert Hall.
Meanwhile Sammy the squirrel this morning said his fur was not to be used!
Being I am going to drop this as a beautiful Sunday post ... guess what else I saw at the park this morning?
and then ....
I was in a hurry so had no time to get better pictures, but hopefully I can get there first thing in the morning and get some food to them.
I chose Sunday, as I thought there would be more to do in town on a Saturday rather than the Sunday!
This post is also for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.

Oh, and that outing can serve as a bit of a diversion and a birthday celebration for Mrs. T. What happens at a yarn festival? There are yarns from all regions of the world? I would never have guessed there was such a festival. I can't wait to see those pictures! Have a nice evening and hugs, Ed.
Well as it is a Scottish yarn festival, most of the vendors are Scottish and have Scottish yarns. We have a huge sheep population and hence wool / yarn. And now it is big business making fancy dyed yarns that are bloody expensive!
Thank you Nancy and a colourful hug to you :)
My friend asked me if I wanted to join her at the Festival of Quilts, in Birmingham at the end of the month, I have the luxury of saying NO!
Enjoy your yarning, I bet the excitement is building already.
Lol well these hand dyed wools and yarns are not cheap. This way I can keep an eye on her spendingπ€£
People still make quilts, I thought all duvets now, so you didn't fancy doing the quilt and natter!
Nope crafty crafting is not something that turns me on LOL
I like your logic!

Really? A yarn festival. I thought we had some unique ones over here, but that is one I have never heard of before!
Yeah this is a big wool producing country, as well as lamb exporter so not as unique here as it sounds. That being said first one I will be attending!
My husband once told me To forget the cost and just enjoy. Money would be earn but memories can't. He was right, of we always thought of the cost it would stop us to enjoy and think of the price. So to fully enjoy do not think about the cost.
That is a great attitude, now when we do decide to do something, we agree to ignore the cost. If you worry then don't go, or you won't enjoy it I agree.
Another celebration againπ. there's more to celebrate that timeπ. I guess those aliens would be celebrating again with youππ
You haven't took those aliens back yet! Here catch ... π½π½
Let them celebrate with youππ
Hmm, interesting. Yarn festival and I never would have known there is a different Perth.
Hope you enjoy the coming trip.
Hehe well Perth here is where the other Perth took its name from.
