With #sb-chronicles... we are posting a question on Mondays, prompting anyone who wants to join in to write their own "Silverblogger" Chronicle for future generations to read! If you feel like suggesting a next prompt yourself... please feel welcome to contact one of the "Silverators" !
The 80s: Synth-Pop, New Wave, and a Bit of Protest
The 1980s in Scotland, much like elsewhere, was a vibrant mix of sounds. Economically, it was a challenging time for many, and music often reflected both escapism and a social conscience. For me though it was football and the late 80s where Rangers were magnificent in Scotland and in Europe. It was the start of 9-in-a-row and the sense that we could do anything.
An 80s soundtrack off the top of my head from Scottish bands
Don't You (Forget About Me) – Simple Minds
Dignity – Deacon Blue
Letter from America – The Proclaimers
Fields of Fire (400 Miles) – Big Country
Rip It Up – Orange Juice
I Don't Want a Lover – Texas
Labour of Love – Hue and Cry
Happy Birthday – Altered Images
Wishing I Was Lucky – Wet Wet Wet
Tinseltown in the Rain – The Blue Nile

And soon enough, we’ll have a "Book of Memories and Knowledge" for future generations. There is no time limit for all this... Write whenever you like and whatever prompt suits you. Just make sure you use the proper tag and put a link to your post in the comment section of the chosen prompt, so we can curate your story.
You can check here on all our prompts - always updated with what's to come!

...kinda started when our community advisor SilverScribe came up with the Memoir Mondays. A new topic/question every Monday for a whole year, and we all loved it so much that we've fallen into a kind of writer's block since the "end" of it. Not really, but still...
So what could be more obvious than to continue somehow? Something has to be done to tackle writer's block, or even the ‘all-time low’ at Hive...
The Silverators started brainstorming the hows and the whens to get an idea of what we could all share for the best of our community. To have a sort of "running gag" that never gets old.
In the synonyms for the word memoir, we can find - chronicle. Now, that was it.... our own chronicles! The Silverbloggers Chronicles! The place where we all keep our memories to share with the future. The library of a silly, wild bunch of Silvers. The Silvery Book of the Wise! Hehehe

We are all winners in this by supporting each other in the community, be it with an upvote, a tip, and/or a kind comment...
Since we "all" know that many are just chasing big votes, with not doing much at all, running behind the whales to get them to pay attention, craving for a vote of lots of dollar$. Or the ones being "good (?) followers" and trying to benefit from the Vitamin Relation until there's a Lambo in sight...!
We feel this is the wrong way. A community should be there for each other, even if many humans are conditioned differently. It's more about putting the ego-selfish-ego aside, because life is not about money, it's about joy/happiness. That everyone gets support for their best they give to the community.
You may say it's good to have dreams? Yes, we live these dreams to achieve the best for everyone. Remember - joy/happiness?!
Why are we even writing about this while promoting the Chronicles for our community? It's to make us all realise that many members don't get high-profile support, but we can "help" ourselves. Also, to understand that the idea of a memoir library for future generations is probably not the way to get rich, to finally get that Lambo. It's about sharing viewpoints, knowledge, and the occasional good laugh. It's about individuals, nature, and happiness. And be sure, we continue to curate the pearls in our midst!

We would love to get more eyes on this post and all community posts from - @hive-106316 - our Silver Bloggers Mother Account. This is why we make a point of reblogging your posts. Please do the same?!

This one turned into a book! Great to relive memories
