SB Chronicles prompt #37- Leaving out of comfort zone and embracing self worth.

Greetings my lovely friends at #silverbloggers community. How are we all doing and am glad to to participate in this week's prompt. It's a very interesting topic, immediately I stumbled on the topic, i didn't think it twice to dive on it.

Yeah me leaving my comfort zone, it was a journey, dear friends 😂. So leaving that comfort zone for me, it meant facing the fear of uncertainty and embracing my self-worth and freedom. I had this job in Lagos that I took out of desperation and that was my first job ever after my service year, not willing to stay at home i took the job. But the pay was crazy, the work was from home far, and the stress was real for sure. But I stuck around with the work for 2 years, thinking it was better than staying at home doing nothing.

As a graduate, I knew I deserved something far better. The workload was draining me, and the salary was a very big joke 🤣. One day I walked to the manager and I asked for a raised for my salary, the manager basically told me to take it or i leave the job. That was my wake-up call, then it was clear to me that I have to make a move without being told and wasn't just working for a paycheck rather I was settling for less. Even though there were free meals, health insurance and lovely staffs but they don't worth my sanity . So, I made the hard a decision to quit.

Thouugh it wasn't easy, get a new job but within a month, I got a job that was better in every way. Better pay, less stress, and the good part of it, its that it came with accommodation. Looking back, am so happy and grateful to God for leaving that my terrible toxic comfort zone.

Lovelies so leaving my comfort zone taught me that, fear is very normal to encounter when leaving your comfort zone but dear it shouldn't for any reason hold you back from leaving. We should know our worth, if i haven't known my worth i would have continued to be in the dark not knowing my worth and am glad i knew its better I embraced the unknown than the known.

Let's always know there are better opportunities out there and we shouldn't be stuck at one place or relaxing at our comfort zone. With faith lets leap to the better phase of life, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. How do you feel leaving your comfort zone?
