The quest for dominance, territorialism and conquest has ruled the hearts of men for a long time such that it often leads to an extreme case of war and bloodshed. When this happens, countless lives and property are destroyed, and human lives tend to have little or no worth to those who incite these actions.
In our world today, we see little or no difference in terms of these actions as humans have developed complex instruments of destruction, as well as biological weapons to wreck extreme havoc to those who they perceive to be opponents/threats.
In such a world where violence, wars, hatred and conquest dwells, peace seems to be alien. But this shouldn't be the case.
So where do you stand?
Do you wish to be agents of war and destruction? Or Agents of peace?
La b煤squeda de la dominaci贸n, el territorialismo y la conquista ha gobernado los corazones de los hombres durante mucho tiempo, de tal manera que a menudo conduce a un caso extremo de guerra y derramamiento de sangre. Today, I bring to you a prayer originally composed by St. Francis of Assisi, who founded the Franciscan Order. He is a man of prayer who devoted himself to a life of selfless service to the poor and built a community of brothers who spread the Gospel of Christ in a unique way.
This prayer is a beautiful one asking God to make us instruments or Agents of peace in this warring world; agents of love, pardon, faith, hope, joy and light to the world.
