Today I go to a place that is next to the road I take to go home. This once was a place to share and enjoy. Now it's in ruins.
I'm talking about the amusement park of the José Martí district in Santiago de Cuba city. Sadly most of the park's attractions are all destroyed. But some are used by teenagers to play when they leave school. Or they just sit on them to talk. This actions give the area some life the week days after class.

The place has no access restriction, although it has a perimeter fence it does not have gates or bars that prevent passage. More than an amusement center, today it is a abandoned public park.

Some people take advantage of this situation to cut branches or trunks from trees to use firewood for cooking or charcoal. A reflection of the current situation in the country.

Back to the subject, the buildings of the site, that in others times offered services and snacks, are accumulating waste and dirt.

The most well-kept part is the restaurant/cafeteria, although it still does not have any valuable offer. However, the plane is something to highlight and, at least, remains as a reference of the site. There you can take a good photo or show your child up close what an airplane looks like.
This was my urban exploration of the day, stay tunned for more. See you 😉.
