MemeHive Week 32: Winners, Rewards, and Powered-Up Fun!

Apology after apology, that's all I can say to the MemeHive community. Though no one compels me to do the task of facilitating this twice-a-month curation contest, I still feel obligated to explain the delay in the winner announcement of the MemeHive Curation Contest Week 32. This sounds like an alibi. However, I don't have control over what people will think of me despite my best intention to be of service.

For the last three weeks, my work has been a source of stress due to a decision made by those at the top without me having access to the details of the agreement with the partner school. Standing as the middleman, I was placed in a situation because of structural difficulty combined with a demanding personality. Despite my effort to understand the frustration of the partner school, my patience has been tested. I was given responsibility without authority and accountability without clarity. It is my first time facing this kind of situation, and I now understand why I suffer sleepless nights. To protect myself, I have to set boundaries. That's all I could say about my situation.

Now let me proceed to the announcement of winners. This announcement was scheduled last February 9. As you can see, I am almost a month late. I anticipate that the task of digging the posts between February 3 and 7 won't be easy.

Eligible Entries

The first entry is from @princessluv. Her post is about an unfamiliar species, the clearnose skate. I am glad to read about the ability of this uncommon creature, "which uses specialized sensory organs to detect the electrical signals produced by fish, effectively allowing it to hunt prey that believes it is hidden." Her post reminds us of "the vast mysteries of the ocean and the many undiscovered creatures and their unique adaptations waiting to be explored."

The second eligible article is from @tanzil2024. His post showcased the winter scenery of Yanqi Lake in Huairou, Beijing. With stunning photos, he highlighted its frozen surface and the surrounding mountains while emphasizing the beauty of the landscape.

The third post is from @marajah. Her article was published on Beer Community. @marajah shared her enjoyment of Guinness Extra Stout. She highlighted "its distinctively bitter flavor, creamy texture, and cultural significance, particularly among women in their locality." She also reflected on the beer's rich history and its pairing with dried meat.

The fourth entry is from @ladyaryastark. In her post, she explored the question about the myth of the toughness of men and its unhealthy social and relational consequences. Reading her post and comparing it to popular videos on TikTok and YouTube, I think the opposite is true in the West:

Thus a rather sexist society was created, in which men had all the privileges, but none of the obligations.

In the West, if the gender and sociological analysts are correct, women have all the privileges and almost no responsibilities, while men are burdened with unrealistic expectations but receive little when it comes to relational and physical intimacy. The unfortunate outcome of this trend is that men are withdrawing from dating and marital relationships.

The last entry is somehow related to the foregoing article. @daverick discussed the societal expectation that men should not cry. I agree that it is generally accepted that men are considered more rational than emotional beings. However, this does not mean that men are not capable of relating emotionally, which is a vital aspect of being human.

Winners and Rewards

This time, I won't proceed to the usual judging and curation criteria. Instead, I will decide on the basis of the overall impression of the article considering its substance, length, and effort.

He also sent me an additional 40,000 MEME for next week's curation contest. As for @pepetoken, he distributed 2,290,000 PEPE plus the 95,000 that will be sent later. In the case of the PAY token, 807,000 had already been distributed through the sponsorship of @antisocialist.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Hopefully, this coming Monday I am going to publish the MemeHive Curation Contest Week 33 and the 3rd in 2026.

More power to both the MemeHive and the Pepe tribes!
