Men and Football

Hello, sports talkers! nice to finally join this community but sadly I am not here to analyze any sport, but I am simply here to share my fascination with die hard football fanatics.😃

I still cannot relate to the emotions men feel when their favourite club is playing but I can say for a fact that it’s so cute and funny to watch.

Today I finally concluded that one of the reasons why men can easily talk, vibe, and sometimes become friends with each other is because they all have one common ground. Other than men being all nice and easy to relate with themselves as opposed to women, is that they all share a common ground and that common ground is FOOTBALL.

Someone reading this might say not all men love football but a greater percentage of men do and can say a thing or two about the sport.

So today I sat through the 90-minute match plus the 30-minute extra time for the match between Inter Milan fc vs Fc Barcelona. Barcelona finished with 3 goals and Inter Milan with 4.

As someone who does not really understand how football works, I found it hilarious watching these men scream while watching the match.

Emotions were high as well as the tension in the room. I watched these alpha males scream, laugh, hiss, jubilate, and curse at intervals and there I was laughing all through it all, forgive me🥰
Why was I laughing? Because I found it really funny and I think it was a result of me not being able to relate to whatever was going on.

At first, I thought they had all placed a bet and their slips were about to cut and they were about to loose money but NO! These were real football fanatics expressing every emotion they felt during the course of the match. It showed the lengths they were willing to go just to see their favourite club win.

To a lot of people like me who cannot relate or understand what was happening on the field, we can say that they all did that for just a “common football” or football is just a SPORT but to these men it is more than just a sport it is a passion.

I wish all women could have a common ground like this, I wish we could all have one major thing or activity we love so much that we could talk about, rant about, and let our guards down shamelessly. It would be so nice to feel different emotions in 90 minutes. Until we find that one thing we all love we all have to be patient with these men whenever they are in their feelings either during or after a match. I mean it’s so nice for them to express their emotions for a change.

In conclusion, I enjoyed watching the match despite not fully grasping everything but yeah it was a good show regardless.

So while I end this post here and prepare for the Arsenal vs PSG match tomorrow, bye for now.
