Bozz Family Fantasy Football Recap: Playoff Time
It just about figures that by the time I make it to the playoffs I would finally get my third win of the season. Wouldn't you know it, it happened to be against @mrsbozz. I don't know what it is that I always seem to be able to beat the one person that I really don't want to beat in our fantasy league.
I decided to throw in a basketball photo because that's where my head really is at this point. Football may as well be dead and gone, my season definitely is!
It probably doesn't help that neither her nor I looked at our rosters this week. I mean, what's the point really? We are in the consolation bracket and everyone know if you aren't first, your last.
In fact, I'm not even going to bore you this week with all the stats from my team except to say that Josh Allen pretty much carried my team once again with over 40 points on the week.
This was the final score between my wife and I. I want to be happy that I finally got a win, but really, it means absolutely nothing. At the very least it is going to give me an even worse draft position should be decide to continue this madness next year.
Actually, that's not true. I don't think these games have any bearing on where we finish the season, so I am solidly at the bottom of the list. I don't think I have ever finished this low before in our fantasy league. Talk about embarrassing.
It's actually pretty interesting to see who made it to the final games of the season. With a couple of byes last weekend and a win by my brother in law and my niece, that leaves the field of four pretty diverse. It's my nephew, my brother in law, his wife (my sister in law), and my niece.
You didn't hear this from me, but I am secretly cheering for my niece to pull out the victory and take the whole season. She was pretty dominant all through the year, so it only seems fitting to me. Both times I played her she totally crushed my team.
Which isn't saying too much....
Personally, I find myself in the semifinal of the consolation game but I think I am expected to lose this week. With no players available on my bench and the Bears looking like trash lately, I don't have a lot of hope for my team to do that well. I'm not even going to bother making changes. Let the cards fall as they may...
I'll be sure to give you an update next week about who the final two teams are and if I managed to find myself in the championship game of the consolation bracket!
