The Move: A Surprising Outcome!

Wait, I can't believe what I did at the supermarket earlier today. Gosh, it's absolutely crazy. Girl, you're so mischievous! Hehehe.

So while out in the field for work today, a colleague asked for my help with picking out a new body cream at the supermarket, to which I gladly obliged.

We picked out the cream - Venus skin toning lotion, and as we made our way to the counter to pay, I spotted a sizeable takeaway cake and two bottles of Tiger Nut drinks, sitting pretty on the counter. The owner, a young man, was about making payment.

Guess what happened next. Lol.

On impulse, I walked up to him and said, "Excuse me, can I take one of the drinks, please?", pointing at the tigernut drinks on the counter, a charming smile plastered on my face.

He looked at me, a mix of surprise and amusement written on his face - that kinda look that says "is this for real?" Well, I gave him back a playful-serious gaze, one that says, "yes I am". He looked at me again, this time, amused.

At that point, I was ready for what would happen next - his reaction. Would he tell me off, thinking I was a joke? Or Accept?

But the thing is that I actually didn't know what prompted me to do this. Also I wasn't sure if I was serious or being playful. Could it be I was trying to be plain cheeky? Lol. I guess sometimes you just do things and wonder why afterwards.

Well, well, well.... He actually gave a nod, and said I could take it, and even the cake if I wanted. How so kind!

"No, thank you so much, I'm okay with just the drink, I said, beaming with smile and surprised at the offer. I wasn't expecting that.... , not at all! Guess he beat me to my game, lol! Perhaps his gentlemanly instincts kicked in, and he couldn't bring himself to refuse a lady's request - after all, gentlemen rarely say no to a lady. Well, I think he's just a kind fellow.

So he stepped out, picked out another bottle of tigernut, paid and handed it over to me. By then, my colleague had finished paying, I thanked him again, and we left.

On our way back to the office, I enjoyed the drink. It was chilled, and super tasty, just what I needed on a sunny afternoon. I felt refreshed afterwards. Lol.
