Favour is divine preference. It is when you are preferred, promoted and considered above others. God’s favor puts some persons above others, giving them the advantage. In our work, office, school, business, we need the favor of God to give us the preference above colleagues, mates, associates and competitors.
Esther 2:15-18. Gen 39:4. Gen 39:21
(Luke 1:30) And the angel said unto her, fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.

There is nothing free that has value. In fact, in order to secure the salvation (which is God’s free gift to mankind) you have a major role to be saved and even more to do in order to remain saved and be rapture-able. Divine favor is the heritage of God’s children but it has a price tag as there are things one can do to provoke it. Anyone you consider to be experiencing favor today must have done something to provoke it or it is as a result of heritage.

Today, I be will consider some of the things we can do to provoke God’s favor upon us.
PROVOKING DIVINE FAVOR

1. Righteousness; This is the
   gateway
   to divine favor. Righteousness
   here
   implies right standing with God
   which is made possible by
   salvation. (Psalm 5:12). It is
   being born again that qualifies
   you
   to be called righteous in the
   sight
   of God through Christ. (2 Cor
   5:21)

2. The anointing of the Holy Spirit:
   The anointing of the Holy Spirit
   is a catalyst of diviner favor.
   (Psalm 45:7) We see the place of
   the anointing of the Holy Spirit
   in provoking the release of
   divine favor. The presence of the
   Holy Spirit puts a special unique
   attractionn on an individual,
   this emits an aroma which
   attracts and magnetizes favor.
   (Gen 27:27) When we yield
   completely to the Holy Spirit, he
   takes over and moulds us into a
   likeable person that attracts
   favor.

3. Prayers; It is absolutely
   necessary that we seek God’s
   favor in the place of prayer. The
   Bible has assured us that when we
   ask of The Lord, he grants us our
   desires. If we notice any form of
   struggles or fruitless labors in
   our lives, it becomes imperative
   that we seek God’s face for
   favor. (Exo. 32:11, Exo 33:12,
   Psalm 90:17, psalm 119:58, psalm
   86:17, Psalm 106:4. Remember the
   story of Esther.

4. Obedience: Faith filled obedience
   is the master key to unlocking
   the door to God’s favor. (Luke
   11:28, Prov. 3:3-4, Prov. 11:27,
   Gen 6:8-9). Noah maintained an
   obedient, faithful, interactive
   relationship with the Lord.
   Remember also the obedience-
   paths-of father Abraham

5. Humility: (Isa 66:2), James 4:6. Here in lies a secret to divine lifting through God’s favor. When a person humbles himself he attracts the attention of God for lifting.

6. Kindness; refers to the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. (Matt 5:7) The level of favor you enjoy is a function of the level to which you favor others. Always remember that we reap what we sow.(2 Sam 2:9) (Esther 2:21-22 & Esther 6:1-3).

CONCLUSION
Seek the favor of God today in the place of prayer and then pray for it often while fulfilling the other conditions listed above. As you do this you will experience a shift from the ‘’survival’’ mode to the ‘’favored” mode.
