How to Create Collections [on Peakd].

(edited)

Peakd collections are a great options to organize posts together. This can add visibility, as well as give you the option to monetize a collection of posts. The collection posts are well formatted, and offer a highlighted header that marks your post as a collection. Today you will learn how to create and post a collection!

First, you need to login to Peakd. Then, click on your name in the top right and then click "Peakd Settings". Now scroll down and click on "enable" under Enable Collection Page. Now your post has collections enabled!

Next, click on the pencil icon where you post from. Instead of clicking create a post, click on "create a collection of posts".

Now you will be in the poster, but you will notice some key differences. There is highlighted text that says "How to create a collection?" If you hover of this text it will teach you how to create a collection.

I find it most simple to start by adding the links to the posts [you want in the collection]. It helps if you leave spaces in-between each link. Notice how nicely the links turn into formatted images on the right side. This is similar to how the actual post will look.

Once you add all the links, you should put a description of the collection at the top and then describe each post [in-between the links]. Once you do this you are ready to post. But, don't forget to add an image if you want a thumbnail!

If you head over to https://peakd.com/c/hive-110144/created you can see your collection! This is the default optional community on Peald where collections are posted! Remember, you can edit your collection at any time and extend the collection.
