I am sure in our workplace, many of us would feel like it's a small district with it's own set of rules and order. Workers are like residents, expected to behave and carry our business bound by a set of processes and guidance.

In the course of our work, the ought to be some minor disagreement between us and our bosses and our colleagues. And in order to resolve such differences, we would all transform into lawyers in our own right, trying to argue our stand and viewpoint through the judges, in this case, usually our bosses or whoever the final deciding authority may be.

We don't always win all arguments, and this is the time to bring in the lawyer of last resort, the commonly agreed expert on the subject at the heart of the debate, who will input his or her opinion and to help the side the lawyer of last resort gut it out. These can be quite boring as these "lawyers" can go on and on without stopping.
