But even so, this would still hurt two things that I defend to the end: freedom and less government and more people (including, LESS, much LESS taxes that eat away at our income).
Yeah this is where I'm conflicted. I hate overreaching governments. But I also hate corporations that hide (or even manipulate) their greed and evil ways and getting away with it. It is actually already a thing that exists in the UK. We have higher prices on sugary things like Coke or tobacco products for example. The problem with it is the poor and unhealthy are still likely to purchase them due to just being addicted to them and not getting the help they need, and those prices just keep them in that state of poverty as well. Though that's often what our governments actually want anyway. And children/teens have no real concept of value so increased prices are shrugged off because hey, Coke is great and smoking is cool!
