Erwarte mit Spannung das heutige Wahl-Ergebnis in Deutschland. Beobachte die Situation aus Österreich und mir fallen viele Paralleln auf. Der Wahlkampf hat sich genauso wie in Wien stark polarisiert. Es gibt nur noch gefühlt (linke) Zentrumsparteien und eine Oppositionspartei (FPÖ oder AfD). Die Zentrumsparteien argumentieren, dass man auf keinen Fall mit der Protest-Partei zusammenarbeiten darf (Demo gegen Rechts, was in Wirklichkeit Pro-Regierungsdemos sind) und haben mit Hilfe der Legacy-Medien eine Brandmauer errichtet.
In Österreich hat man nach dem Scheitern monatelanger Regierungsverhandlungen kurz widerwillig versucht mit dem Wahlsieger (FPÖ) eine Koalition zu bilden, dies ist aber aus mehreren Gründen gescheitert. Sowohl inhaltlich als auch personell. Die FPÖ wurde aufgefordert sich ebenfalls politisch in die Mitte zu bewegen, was sie aber abgelehnt haben. Jetzt geht es in Österreich wieder Richtung "große" Koaltion mit VP/SP und NEOS, eine Art Ampel. Weiter wie bisher.
Ähnliches erwarte ich auch in Deutschland. Unabhängig wie stark die AfD abschneiden wird, wollen die anderen Parteien schon jetzt wieder so weiter machen wie bisher.
Bin auf das Ergebnis gespannt, wie lautet eure Prognose? Wie akkurat denkt ihr sind die Wahlprognosen in den Legacy-Medien? Wir werden es bald wissen.

I am eagerly awaiting today's election results in Germany. I am observing the situation from Austria and think there many parallels. The election campaign has become highly polarized, similar like in Austria or the US. It feels like there are only (left-wing) centrist parties and one opposition party (FPÖ or AfD). The center parties argue that under no circumstances should they cooperate with the protest party (protests against the right, which are actually pro-government protests in Germany) and have built a so called "firewall" (German: Brandmauer) with the help of the legacy media.
In Austria, after the failure of months of government negotiations, there was a brief, reluctant attempt to form a coalition with the election winner (FPÖ), but this failed for several reasons. Both in terms of content and personnel. The FPÖ was also asked to move to the center politically, however they refused. Now Austria is moving back towards a "big" coalition with VP/SP and NEOS, a kind of traffic light. As before.
I expect something similar in Germany. Regardless of how well the AfD performs, the other parties already want to carry on as before and form a coaltion.
I'm looking forward to the result, what is your forecast? How accurate do you think the election forecasts in the legacy media are? We'll find out soon enough.

Schauen wir mal auf 18 Uhr und die erste Hochrechnung.
Ich tippe auf Schwarz-Rot-Grün.
Natürlich wollen die einzelnen Parteien so weiter führen, wie sie es wollen. Alle haben über die Koalition geschimpft, aber ehrlich gesagt ist es ganz gut gewesen, was sie gemacht haben, wenn man eben bedenkt, das es eine dreier Koalition war. Da ist es eben nicht so einfach, wie man am ende nun festgestellt hat.
Das ist jetzt Satire, oder? 😉
In der schwierigen Lage in der wir uns die letzten Jahre befinden, sage ich ja, ist ganz gut gewesen. Vorallem mit dem ganzen Gegenwind den sie bekommen haben.

I don't know much about politics even in my own country, but from I'm kind of a believer in these kinds of forecasts, it's backed up by good date (at least I hope) so it should show kind of similar results.

Ich stimme dir vollkommen zu. Möge das Theaterschauspiel eine neue Wendung nehmen...
Ohne zu sehr politisch zu werden, finde ich es nicht richtig, dass die Parteien pauschal eine Zusammenarbeit mit der AfD ablehnen. Zumindest miteinander reden sollte man. Wenn man dann nicht zueinander findet, dann ist es auch okay.
Man findet doch bereits im Vorfeld nicht zusammen, denn das was die AFD will ist weiter entfernt von dem was die anderen Wollen als die Voyager inzwischen zur Erde.
Aber A.W. weiß es ja besser als alle anderen Ökonomen...
Man sollte meinen Erwachsene Menschen, vor allem Spitzenpolitiker, sollten für einen Kompromiss bereit sein.
Aber das bleibt wohl mein Wunschdenken... 😅

Not sure... It seems the whole world is becoming bitterly divided, not just here in the US. I don't trust any predictions from legacy media, they all try to say their choice is going to win in a landslide. They they lose horribly just like Kamala. I don't thing legacy media is really trustworthy anymore which is truly sad, now they're a political opinion sounding board...

All I can say is that here, in Romania, we're watching the elections in Germany really close. Everybody says the CDU will try to form an alliance with the SPD, but then again we'll have to wait and see what kind of pressure Trump is willing to apply to get the AfD in a ruling coalition.
I can't wait to see the results!

Mich wundert es, wie manche Partei so rein zufällig die 5% Grenze erreicht.
Als ob "Magie" im Spiel gewesen wäre.
Ich denke, dass wird von den Statistikern so hinmanipuliert, da es noch eine Schwankungsbreite bei den Hochrechnungen gibt, niemand weiß, ob die Parteien reinkommen oder nicht, wenn der Wert um die 5% liegt, daher werden 5% angegeben, um die Spannung aufrecht zu halten.
Mal ganz wertfrei was ich von dieser Partei halte, aber dem Merz würde ich das gönnen, weil sich dann keine CDU/CSU SPD Koalition ausgeht. 😂

Deutschland wählt ganz klar rechts und wird wieder eine links geprägte Regierung bekommen, prognostiziere ich jetzt mal.
Aber der Wählerwille wird ja in fast ganz Europa schon seit einigen Jahren konsequent ignoriert.
