Smooth, silky and sweet. Expect the desirable characteristics of a Kentucky Bourbon with a gentle caramel and vanilla profile - backdropped against smoky oak notes from ageing in a world-class barrel.

After a century-long whisky drought, we brought whisky back to Perth, Ontario in 2016.

Flash forward to today, we have over a decade of experience putting our stamp on contemporary Canadian whisky with our bourbon-style Rideau. This is what we’re all about: a blend of the traditional with something entirely new and different that breaks the classic Canadian whisky mould.

Named after the Rideau Trail, Lanark Highlands Rideau Whisky starts with first-use barrels from a cooperage that produces the most sought-after white oak barrels used for ageing bourbon - Kelvin Cooperage.

Our mash of corn, barley and rye is made from 100% locally grown and milled grains. We use spring water from right here in Lanark County. The end result is a smooth, complex, distinctive flavour that leaves a lasting impression in every dram.

But don't just take it from us.. Rideau Whisky is award winning - taking home platinum amongst some stiff competition at the 2024 SIP AWARDS.

Tasting Notes: Smooth, silky and sweet. You can expect the desirable characteristics of a Kentucky-Bourbon with a gentle caramel and vanilla profile contrasted against the smoky, oak notes from ageing in a world-class first-use white oak barrel.

On the welcome to Lanark County sign you will see "Maple Syrup Capital of Ontario" but we would go as far as to say our region's syrup is the best in the world.

With over 400 producers, an ideal climate and centuries of maple syrup production - it's not hard to see how Lanark County has retained the title for decades.

Something else our hometown lays claim to is a long and storied history of making whisky - on both sides of the law.

When Temperance was introduced in Ontario (the Canadian version of Prohibition), Perth's whisky distilleries moved their stills into the forest to keep making spirits under the cover of night. If you're thinking about trying to keep your whisky a secret - you probably want to remove the barrel ageing step to conceal your craft and get your spirits bottled as fast as possible and at as high proof as palatable.

Flash forward to today... we keep the tradition alive with our time-tested maple moonshine recipe. Deliciously uncomplicated - Reunion Maple Moonshine is made with our shine, some of the world's best maple syrup and water. That's it.

Ingredients: corn spirit, water, maple syrup.

Alcohol: 30%.

Volume: 750 ml.
