Saturday on Hive of course means it's time to write about the good old amber nectar or Beer and today was no exception.
It was a case of back to basics for me...
We had sun, sun and more sun, then it went to meh!!!
It was a shame as this weekend not only is it Easter but in Kirkcaldy it is the Links market. The annual market that is Europes longest street market....
It runs from Wednesday to Monday, we havn't been yet but there is Monday as it is a holiday.
Hopefully it will get some sunshine or at least no rain!
In the meantime I have had some beers, these were for some bloody crap issues I had this week.
On Thursday I had my follow up physio appointment in Dunfermline which is a five hour round trip for me. When I wish I did still drive and not give it up to be a conscience planet citizen.
I chose that hospital as they had a hydrotherapy pool which my local hospital does not have...
I went the first time two months ago, and it was closed due to high chlorine levels..
So back I went and closed again. What the fluff.. I don't think it exists.
Well next time, I shall phone and if it is not working then say fluff it!
As I have been swimming like a redfish in our local pool ...
No whales in those calm pleasant waters!
I was brought up on this stuff.
We had two breweries when I was growing up, Tennents with the big red T you saw on the glass and then McEwans.
I probably thousands of pints of McEwan's Export, Tennent's Special and McEwan's Lager throughout the years.
I drank so much McEwan's Export my friends used to say when I was born, I had a full head of hair a Marloro red cigarette in one hand and a can of McEwan's Export in the other hand!
Those were the days!
Yeah long gone are the days when I could quite happily down double digit pints then get up for work as if nothing had happened!
Now I am lucky to finish a can of four š¤£
McEwan's Export is Scotland's most sold canned ale. It's an export ale known for its smooth, malty flavour and distinctive reddish-brown colour.
It was originally brewed in Edinburgh by William McEwan from 1856 but who the fluff knows who owns it now!
McEwan's Export has an Alcohol By Volume (ABV) of 4.5%

Now it is time for me to finish the fourpack while I prepare chilli beans for tomorrow's Easter meal!
Posting about a beer on a Saturday on the Beer Community ....
Cheers to local beers and Happy Easter everyone

Eeeeeek! What beer? š
I have had any beers. I had apple juice. Tasteless dry apple juice. Gosh. Now Iām craving some Pizza and beer. This is your fault!
Oh my fault! Well nothing new there then! You need another bottle of Savanna ... It was cider I thought not just apple juice..
You beat me to the punch! I was going to invite you in my publication. Those beers look good and four is a good number. I too love to drink delicious beer and cook. Oh, and if there's tunes playing, the kitchen is heaven. Hugs, my friend

.Well that one is quite far my friend, I hope they open this time when you visit. Must be suck to drive that far, to find the place is closed.
Yeah I got rid of our car during covid and never replaced it, trying to be environmentally friendly. So that time is walking to the bus station getting the bus then waiting for the appointment then waiting for the bus back and then walking home lol!
Fingers crossed next time it will be open.
It doesn't look bitter.šš. Didn't pair it with food? š
Hehe not that time, but next weeks beer you saw na š¤£
