Today is 12th February 2026, the general election day for Bangladesh after the end of the fascist regime back in 2024 by the July revolution. It is a long-awaited election for the last 18 years.

Being a third-world country election is always a day of celebration and this time the govt. has announced a 5 days of holidays on this occasion. So people have enjoyed their election season in Bangladesh this time.

As the election is held after a long time, the voters were very excited to vote, especially since there are so many young voters who cast their votes for the first time.

But still, there are some occurrences due to the muscle power practice among the political parties. It was a great concern this time, as there is too much tension about the security.

But the election is now completed and the votes count is going one smoothly. Though there were some unrest and muscle power practicing in different places that have been addressed by the law enforcing agencies.

But at the time of mid night some areas, there is something fishy like election engineering is being prepared by the strongest and largest party that has joined the election after their initial difficulties in getting victory.

I hope the situation will be handled carefully without any bigger unrest and the election results will be welcomed by both the winner and the opposition party to run the government smoothly with collaboration among them.
