Good day to everyone. First of all, let me introduce myself. I am Mark Christian Baylon. I am married with one child. I am 26 years old, my child is 3 years old, and my wife is 23 years old. We live in Sara, Iloilo, Philippines. And I'm a newbie here thanks to @olivia08 @asean.hive
I am the third of five siblings. We grew up without a mother because she passed away when I was 18 years old. It was incredibly painful to lose her.
We didn't have anyone to guide us.
But with the Lord's help, our father raised us well. He took care of our family all by himself. He took on any job he could find just to feed us. I know our situation was difficult. The five of us helped with the housework.
I finished my studies until Grade 12, and soon after, I got married.
Life is very difficult without a mother to guide you, but I managed. I would do anything for my family. When my wife gave birth, I was struggling because I didn't have a job at the time. But I persevered. I joined my uncles in carrying wood for furniture. It was incredibly heavy, but I endured it just to feed my wife and child. After a few months, I stopped carrying wood because I couldn't handle it anymore. By God's grace, I found a job in Iloilo City. I know it's very far from my wife and child, but if I didn't work, my family would go hungry. So I decided to become a technician. It was tough at first because my body wasn't used to working long hours, but after a few months, I got used to it by the Lord's grace. I've been a technician here in Iloilo for three years now.
But even with a job, my salary is still not enough for my family. I earn β±500 per day, but that covers all our food, water, and electricity. We just pay for the boarding house.
On May 15, 2024, my father got sick, so I went home to take care of him. He was rushed to the hospital several times, but on May 20, 2024, he passed away. It was so painful. πππππ I felt like giving up. I lost my mother, and now my father too. It felt like the sky had fallen on me. It was so painful. ππππ Thankfully, my wife and child were there to comfort me, but I still couldn't accept that my parents were gone. πππππ
After a month, I went back to work. Yes, it's incredibly painful to lose your parents, but I have to work hard for my wife and child. I love them so much. I will do anything to support them.
Thank you so much for reading my story. I hope you will support me here.
Truly Yours:
