The latest Hive-Engine Market Maker bot that I released last week has been a huge success — thank you to everyone who tested it out and shared critical feedback to help us make it even greater!

@dlmmqb suggested that we “please don’t let the bot buy above X” —so we’ve added two new, optional safety thresholds:
The bot will never place a buy order at or above this price.
The bot will never place a sell order at or below this price.
When you leave these fields blank, the bot behaves exactly as before (one tick above/below the best bid/ask). But once you set a threshold…
Buy side
It checks the best bid + 0.00001
If that adjusted price ≥ your “Do Not Buy” value → skips the buy.
Sell side
It checks the best ask – 0.00001
If that adjusted price ≤ your “Do Not Sell” value → skips the sell.
Tip: All of these fields are optional—leave them blank to fall back to classic market-maker behaviour.
Setting What It Does
Coin to trade Hive-Engine token ticker (in CAPS). E.g. LEO, HELIOS, PAKX or swap tokens like SWAP.BTC, SWAP.HBD.
Amount Coin How many base‐tokens to sell each cycle. Set to 0 to disable selling.
Amount SWAP HIVE How much SWAP.HIVE (per order) to use on the buy side (i.e. buy this much worth of your target token per cycle). Set to Zero and your bot won't buy any tokens.
Increase Ask (%) Widen your sell price by this % above the best ask. Default = 0 → undercut lowest ask by 0.00001 (classic).
Decrease Bid (%) Lower your buy price by this % below the best bid. Default = 0 → outbid highest bid by 0.00001 (classic).
Do Not Buy ≥ Price New! Skip buys at or above this price.
Do Not Sell ≤ Price New! Skip sells at or below this price.
Example:
If you set “Do Not Buy ≥ 0.12”, and the best bid + tick is 0.125, the bot will not place a buy.
I’m planning to roll these filters out to all bots—because who doesn’t want an extra safety net?
A searchable dropdown for “Coin to trade” is on the roadmap.

Happy trading,

This is interesting so I setup an account to test.
I created @pepentropy.bot with a 5 Hive and 1 HBD
I transferred 5 HELIOS to the account and created a SMA strategy.
And I joined discord.
What do I do next? !LOLZ

Set a trade amount that doesn't run out of money on either side.
Maybe .5 hive and .1 hbd.
I'm new to these bots so I am confused.
What token am I trading?
I didn't see where I could select the token for the bot.
I need a Bot Trading for Dummies blog. !LOLZ

After 48 hours, we r gonna see more trades by bot. Let's say, the bot is working well but it's undergoing a special upgrade so it benefits all users of bot more equally.
In short, u might see less impressive results in next 2 days (less profits compared to its true potential).
Thanks! Now, low liquidity market can take advantage of the bot as well.
@cwow2 @siddhartaz wanna test market maker in pakx market?
