5 Horror Anime You WILL Love

//not an option.

If it isn't clear know that I really like anime as you can see from my profile picture, and from the sentiment of today as I finished binge watching another show again I came to bestow you with the pleasure of knowing and possibly seeing some cool animations I know that are unfortunately kind of unknown or forgotten after release. Mostly horror. So keep on reading to see the good shit I’m talking about:

1. Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction

"Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction", or simply "DDDD", is a manga by Inio Asano, known for works such as "Good Night Punpun" and "Solanin". The story, set in Tokyo, follows the routine of two friends, Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa "Ontan" Oran, while an alien spaceship hovers over the city. The manga explores themes such as the end of the world, adulthood and existential uncertainties, all in the midst of an alien invasion that becomes a backdrop for the characters' daily lives. - With that alone you can see how good this is, i cannot recommend it enough.

2. Shadows House

"Shadows House" (シャドーハウス) is a manga and anime series that follows the life of Emilico, a living doll who serves Kate, her master, in a mansion inhabited by a faceless noble family who express themselves through their living dolls, which also clean the soot emitted by their masters. The story explores the mysteries of the house and the relationship between the two as they uncover the secrets of the place. – Kind of dusty, full of mysteries and originality.

3. Dark Gathering

Dark Gathering (ダークギャザリング) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kenichi Kondo, serialized in Shueisha's shōnen magazine Jump Square since March 2019. It also received an anime adaptation, produced by studio OLM, which aired from July to December 2023. The story follows Keitaro Gentoga, a college student who, after meeting Yayoi Hozuki, a girl with the power to see spirits, ends up involved in scary and supernatural adventures, trying to control the spirits that the girl attracts. – Bro this anime is wild, has tons of gore so be warned, every ghost investigation is insanely good and too horrifying for an anime, which is why we love It.

4. Mieruko-chan

Mieruko-chan (見える子ちゃん), meaning "The Girl Who Can See Them", is a Japanese manga series created by Tomoki Izumi, which has also been adapted into an anime series. The story revolves around Miko Yotsuya, a high school student who suddenly begins seeing horrific monsters. Despite being terrified, she tries to ignore the creatures to protect herself and her friend, Hana. – So, imagine being able to see ghosts but if they notice that you’re cooked. Yep. That’s what I’m serving, and also a little bit of Ecchi on the anime, for some reason.

5. Akudama Drive

Akudama Drive (Japanese: アクダマドライブ, Hepburn: Akudama Doraibu) is a 2020 Japanese cyberpunk anime television series conceptualized by Kazutaka Kodaka and produced by Pierrot and Too Kyo Games. It was written by Norimitsu Kaihō and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi. Set in a dystopian future in Kansai, the story follows a young woman who accidentally finds herself in a situation where she is forced to keep up the appearance of a Swindler to ensure she does not get killed by a group of Akudama, criminals who are pursued by the government. The series aired from October to December 2020. A total of six DVD and Blu-ray box sets collected the twelve-episode series in Japan. – This couldn’t not be on this list, my favorite awesome as hell of an anime. I swear this is all the cyberpunk, gore, action, drama, dark romance, bonding, horror, everything you need in just one shot. I command you to go right now and enjoy this gift to humanity.

Look at how cool these dudes are like damn!
