The Satisfaction of Ironing
Managing a large family, my wife does a great job keeping up with meals, laundry and on top of that her position of Treasurer and carrying most of the weight of a new business, Turner Sister's Bakery.
It's a pleasure to help where I can, and ironing my own dress shirts lifts yet another project from my wife's very capable (but occupied) hands.
Momma is the STAR Player in our home, keeping everything in order.
The shirts get washed promptly, then go in the hamper in queue to get ironed. Eventually, daddy runs out of dress shirts so I dig through the hamper and find some very wrinkly shirts. Out come the ironing board and the old iron.
Start with the collar, which once that's done the whole shirt looks better already.
Next the arms. It's not perfect, but it's so much better than before.
The satisfaction of a wrinkled pile turn into a nice pressed shirt is very enjoyable.

While I haven't had the need to iron anything in many years, I do remember taking satisfaction from the process. Turning a wrinkly mess into smooth elegance is rather enjoyable. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Ironically, I also find great pleasure in folding clothes and putting them away. Having a "perfectly" organized drawer is incredibly satisfying.

I rarely wear shirts, i dress logging work gear or alternative, even to meetings or bank i generally turn up in steal toe caps and riggers with some kind of funny t shirt 🤣

When everyone in the family understands that the work load is not gender specific, and everyone in that sense fasen up their, in keeping the home moving, trust me it always beautiful and easy to live with that kind of a family.
Ironing is not just a common work to many but it that which seems simple that many really do not know the little joy that comes from ironing the wears of does you love such.
