Well said! I think the social media era kind of contributed to this comparison, people are trying to average life experiences into a single timeframe when in reality, which is have our own timeline even when we share the same age. I've been at the receiving end of such from my parent, now, it doesn't bother me much, as I've learnt to let it pass through one ear and come out through the other ear :D
