My experience with a dog ~ I lived

I would be the last person on earth to ever have a pet, seeing this topic made me realize I don't like animals or maybe I just haven't seen the particular animal I'd be attracted to, that animal I can live with "Which animal would it be?", now I'm beginning to question myself " why don't I like animals?" It's beginning to sound weird. Now I have concluded that the fault is me and not the animals.

I love it when I see people playing around with their pets, those moments bring excitement to my face and I'd be like "Aww so cute" but what I never did, was try to hold the pet or even try to imagine myself in that situation, we'd say our pleasantries from a distance.

Have you ever had an encounter with what people call a dog that looked more like a lion? Well if you haven't, you are about to read my experience with a mighty dog. I don't like dogs maybe I like dogs that don't bark if that's even possible or I have a specific preference when it comes to animals "Don't know what I'm even saying".

I knew my aunty had a dog on her premises, that I know "I was fully aware" but what I didn't know was how big that tiny dog had grown to be. After a few months of not seeing my aunt, I decided to visit her. When I got to the house, I knocked on the gate and realized the gate was open.

Then I called her on the phone to find out if the dog was chained or not "so I would know where my problems are coming from" She picked up the call and asked me to come in, then I asked, "Is the dog chained?" Her reply was "Come in" Maybe she didn't get the other part so I had to repeat the question then she said, "The dog doesn't bite".

So I entered portraying the image of that little dog I knew "I wasn't informed" then I opened the gate and started walking in majestically like I owned the premises. After a few steps then the dog started barking, in my mind "When the dog comes closer I would just shout at him to stop barking since he is very tiny".

In the process of taking more steps, I saw a big dog running close to me, at that moment I started praying for the ground to open and just shallow me cause it's better to be shallowed than to be bitten and damaged by a dog. At that moment different thoughts started roaming my head " What should I do" Should I run people always say when a dog is running close to you "You shouldn't run" or should I pretend to be invisible but then the dog has eyes and can see clearly?

Finally, the most special solution came, as the dog was coming very close to me, I gathered all the strength I had inside of me and screamed "Aunty oo" Immediately the dog got close to me, she started wagging her tail and running around me, I was shocked and was like "Is this playing".

When my aunt ran out and saw what was happening, she smiled and was like "I told you she doesn't bite" I replied and said "You would have said she doesn't bite but she barks" I love dogs that don't bark hehe!!!.

I don't like to find myself in situations like that, dogs scare the shit out of me, well, I got out of that situation cause the dog was the friendly type, imagine it was some other dog "My bones would've suffered".

The experience taught me that dogs can't be trusted even the ones that seem easy and outgoing can't be trusted when they bark "Why did they bark in the first place" The sound of that scares me to the fullest. The second lesson I learned was to always stay updated with the growth of dogs, no matter what, that should be my number one priority before visiting people who have dogs in their houses.
