Weihnachtsgeschenke / Christmas gifts [DE/ENG]
Im letzten Jahr haben wir für unsere Verwandten ein paar Weihnachtsgeschenke selber angefertigt. Meine Frau hat gebacken, eingemacht und gehäkelt und ich habe mit einem Brandmalkolben ein paar Willkommen-Schilder angefertigt.
Diese waren ein ziemlicher Erfolg und speziell bei meiner Schwester ist das sehr gut angekommen. Für meine Schwester hatte ich damals ein Hochzeitsfoto verwendet und es steht auch heute noch direkt vor Ihrer Eingangstüre wenn man zu Besuch kommt, so dass es jeder direkt sieht.
Einen Bericht dazu habe ich damals auch bereits gemacht. Diesen kann man, dank Blockchain, immer noch ansehen.

In diesem Jahr wollten wir dann auch wieder etwas selber anfertigen. Da meine Stärken aber nicht unbedingt beim Stricken oder Häkeln angesiedelt sind und wir nicht im zweiten Jahr hintereinander etwas mit dem Brandmalkolben machen wollten, haben wir uns entschieden, eine Dekupiersäge anzuschaffen.
Unsere Wahl fiel auf ein günstigeres Gerät der Marke Einhell (ca. € 92,10). Dieses hat aber auch ganz gute Bewertungen im Internet.

An der Dekupiersäge mussten noch ein paar Kleine Dinge montiert werden, aber dann war diese auch schon Einsatzbereit. Ein Sägeblatt war auch bereits eingebaut.
Zwei Kritikpunkte fielen mir aber ziemlich schnell auf:
Erstens: Die Kunststoff-Sicherheitsabdeckung ist ein ziemlicher Witz. Der Kunststoff wirkt ziemlich billig und bei der Durchsicht verschwimmt das Werkstück nahezu.
Zweitens: An der Stelle wo das Sägeblatt ist, ist der Bereich des Sägetisches schwarz. Das Sägeblatt ist ebenfalls sehr dunkel und es fehlt dort der Kontrast. Wenn man das Werkstück in Richtung Sägeblatt führt, ist das schwer zu erkennen, wo man genau landet.
Das schwarze Kunststoffteil werde ich wohl demnächst farblich anders gestalten.

However, I quickly noticed two points of criticism:
Firstly, the plastic safety cover is a bit of a joke. The plastic looks pretty cheap and the workpiece is almost blurred when you look through it.
Secondly, the area of the saw table where the saw blade is is black. The saw blade is also very dark and there is no contrast there. If you guide the workpiece towards the saw blade, it is difficult to see exactly where you end up.
I will probably change the color of the black plastic part soon.
An ein paar ersten Übungsstücken habe ich mich schon ausprobiert und dabei festgestellt, das das montierte Sägeblatt ziemlich breit ist und man damit keine Kurven und Rundungen sägen kann.
Man kann aber bei der Maschine auch handelsübliche Laubsägeblätter einspannen. Da ich noch welche zuhause hatte, habe ich hier ein deutlich schmaleres Sägeblatt eingebaut, womit man deutlich besser die Rundungen heraussägen kann.

Kann ich nur empfehlen. Man muss wohl ein bisschen Geduld haben. Aber, wenn man abends 1 oder 2 Stunde damit verbringt (vielleicht mit einem Glas Rotwein), dann entschleunigt das auch sehr.
Weihnachtsgeschenke habe ich nur für meine jeweils aktuelle Freundin. Alle anderen bekommen Glückwünsche.

Kommt sicher auch sehr gut an.
Ich bin für Weihnachten einfach zu faul geworden. Seit vielen Jahren schon nichts mehr gemacht. Maximal nen anständiges Futter für meine Mom und mir. Familie ist nicht viel übrig. Und die, die noch da sind, die haben untereinander kaum bis keinen Kontakt.
