Bahahaha! Chess-playing aliens!

...actually, that might explain a lot... 🤔

Those extremely old books with the handwritten spines would have fascinated me. I would have wanted very badly to look inside, but at the same time been scared to death of handling them, for fear of accidentally damaging something I couldn't dream of affording! Maybe I could have cajoled the bookseller into handling them for me, though. 😁

There are many fascinating things in these photos. Thank you for sharing!

😂 The Martian chess thing was great. 😁

The same thing would have happened to me with those old books. Better to leave the responsibility in the hands of those who know how to handle them without damaging them.

I was a fan of the Pawn Stars TV show, everything that is old and strange catches my attention and I love to know about its history. 😃

Yesss! I am fascinated by the history of places, things, people...everything! It's one of the reasons I loved doing urban exploration (urbexing), and still love looking at the pictures in the urbexing community on Hive. Especially the ones with stories attached! Though a lot of times combing through abandoned buildings leaves me with more questions than answers. 😄
