Twelve years ago, I took a trip with some friends to a town of just over 15,000 inhabitants, located 472 km from the capital of São Paulo, which became part of the Brazilian skateboarding scene overnight.
The small town of Guapiaçu, near the city of São José do Rio Preto, has been visited by skateboarders from all over the country since the inauguration of its first street skate park. Thanks to the development and support of committed skaters such as Flávio Lopes and Rodrigo Zaneli, the "Skate Praça de Guapiaçu"
