Bringing "Pasalubong" for my Family

As we all know, Filipinos loved pasalubong and to bring pasalubong. We always buy something in a place that we went to and most of it were food because that's one of the best thing that we could have in our pasalubong to our loved ones. I think buying Pasalubongs to our family makes us happy and at the same time, they will also be happy because they have something presents after we went home.

I decided to buy some "Pasalubong" to my family because I have an extra money to buy the things that they would surely loved. One of the main pasalubong that my family requested is the "Buko Pie" and the "Dunkin Donuts" because these foods were not available in our town and also the "Buko Pie" is best known in Iligan city for the best Pie.

My wife also requested to buy her sandals and doll shoes of our daughter but I didn't bought it because at the time that we went home, the Robinson's Place was still closed and it will be open every 10 in the morning.

I thought that I could buy my daughter her doll shoes because they have lots of sales in their store. I regretted on not buying on the first day when we went there because I really thought that the place will open at 8 am and not 10 in the morning.

So, in the end, I just bought them food that maybe they will love to eat. First, we buy peanuts in Cheding's because Chedings is one of the best and most we known store for pasalubong in the city. I just bought a couple of items in that store and mostly were the peanuts because peanuts is their best seller in the store.

They have different kinds of flavor of peanuts, there were garlic, banana chips, mixed, original, sweet coated peanuts, and other flavors. I didn't knew that there were lots of flavor and I chose to pick the banana chips, garlic, and the mixed peanuts because I know that my father loves peanuts and I will give the rest to my family members especially my wife.

Next, we went to the Jollibee because at that time, we were really hungry and we didn't ate our breakfast yet. So, I bought a few of the food for our breakfast and also some coffee for myself.

I bought combo spaghetti because I know that my daughter loves to eat spaghetti. After we went to the Jollibee, we went to the Dunkin Donuts and the store is next to the Jollibee, so we just went there and bought the bundle donut in the store. The store is really cute and also small, this is also my first time to have a Dunkin donut store in the city because most of the Dunkin donuts were in the mall or in the stall inside the mall.

I thought that these are the only pasalubong that I will bring in my family but then I told to them that they have their famous Buko pie in their town which is located in Iligan, too. We stopped by in the store while going home and bought 2 boxes for my family.

I think this is far one of the expensive Pasalubong that I brought in my house because usually I will only bring maybe two or three items of pasalubong if I will go to the city but this time, I bought lots of it because I have a couple of extra money that are intended for the wedding but thankfully, I only spend a few money from that wedding and it is mostly sponsored by my friend who is the groom in the wedding.

After I showed them my pasalubong, they were very happy and their smiles were very genuine after they ate my pasalubong. I felt good after hearing their "thank you" out of their mouth and that is one of the best feeling after hearing a "thank you" for them.
