Lugano ist eine italienisch-sprachige Stadt im Süden der Schweiz, die besonders Krypto-freundlich ist.

Laut Berichten ist es die Stadt in Europa mit der höchsten Bitcoin-Adoption. 350 Händler sollen bereits Bitcoin Lightning-Zahlungen akzeptieren.

Derzeit findet in Lugano das Plan B Forum statt, eine große Bitcoin-Konferenz, die bereits das zweite Mal in der Schweiz stattfindet.

Unter den Speakern sind unter anderem der Krypto-Pionier Nick Szabo, der PGP-Erfinder Philip Zimmermann und auch der Vater und die Frau von Julian Assange sind mit dabei.

Lugano is an Italian-speaking city in the south of Switzerland that is particularly crypto-friendly.

According to reports, it is the city in Europe with the highest Bitcoin adoption. 350 merchants are said to already accept Bitcoin Lightning payments.

Lugano is currently hosting the Plan B Forum, a major Bitcoin conference that is taking place in Switzerland for the second time.

Speakers include crypto pioneer Nick Szabo, PGP inventor Philip Zimmermann, and Julian Assange's father and wife are also in attendance.

War noch nie in der Schweiz.

Was kostet so ein Ticket. Wenn jemand bezahlen würde auch für Anreise und Unterkunft würde ich es mir mal angucken !LOL

Ticket ca 449 CHF, ist vlt sogar günstiger als das HiveFest 😂 aber nur 2 tägig, Studenten nur 99 CHF.

Never been to a Bitcoin conference, but it might be interesting. I've never been to Lugano but that is really encouraging that so many merchants are accepting Bitcoin Lightning payments. I wish we could get some businesses here in the US to start accepting it, especially Walmart and Amazon. That would change everything!

Ich hatte da mal gelesen, dass die in Lugano sogar ihre Steuern in BTC und ETH zahlen konnen. Wann die anderen Stadte und Lander auf diesen Zug umsteigen, bleibt abzuwarten. Cool ist es naturlich auf jeden Fall.

I find it fascinating that Lugano is so welcoming to cryptocurrencies and has a high adoption of Bitcoin. This suggests a shift in finance and a growing interest in alternatives to the traditional monetary system.

Although I have never visited Lugano, I am drawn to the idea of doing so in the future because I have seen images of its beautiful surroundings with a lake and mountains, which seem perfect for relaxation and nature.

While I haven't had the opportunity to attend Bitcoin conferences, I consider it would be an enriching and educational experience to learn more about this innovative technology and connect with like-minded individuals.

I was first introduced to the word Lugano. Never had a chance to attend a bitcoin conference and it is totally banned in our country.

Bitcoin Lightning has certainly opened many doors to fast payments with BTC, without a lot of fees and no delays, that certainly makes it easier for business owners to accept crypto as a payment method.

And it's great to see so many merchants in this area using it.

Würde definitiv mal zu so einer größeren Konferenz gehen aber das ist meist in der Woche oder weit weg. Na mal sehen. Lugano ist aber definitiv interessant weil in Europa und halt so weit schon in der Adoption. Liegt das an der Lokalpolitik dort oder gibt es da ein paar starke Bitcoiner/Influencer?
