How secret services tried to infiltrate Telegram, Tucker Carlson interviewed the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov, rare interview, super interesting insights.

The story of Pavel Durov, the developer of Telegram, is very interesting and adventurous. He was born in the Soviet Union, then emigrated to Italy and returned to Russia to set up the successful Russian social media VK, but then had to emigrate to Dubai and hand over VK because he refused to censor content.
In Dubai, however, he pursued a new idea to set up a messenger service safe from state censorship and surveillance. Telegram.
Dubai (UAE) is the ideal location for this, as it can operate relatively safely and independently of the major superpowers in the Arab world.
But the pressure from the U.S. is also noticeable for Telegram. Secret services are said to have once tried to poach one of its developers to spy on and infiltrate Telegram for them. Without success.
Intelligence agencies try to infiltrate software companies in order to secretly install vulnerabilities and backdoors, especially in open source software such as Telegram. That is insane.
And censorship pressure also comes from Apple and Google. Content has to be deleted from public channels time and again, as Apple and Google threaten to remove the app from the store otherwise.
Durov also runs Telegram extremely efficiently with a very small team and zero marketing. The network effect is enough.
And he also recognized the potential of crypto and invested in Bitcoin early on, which made him financially independent and enabled the development of open source. Brilliant.
What do you think about how secret services try to infiltrate software companies and open source projects? How secure do you think Telegram is compared to other messaging apps?

i don't know why these secret services are behind these social media influencers.
Dumbest comment of the week, sorry.
You don't need to say sorry.
The privacy policy of Telegram is good and easy to use
It is normal for the secret services to do these things, that is their job. Keep us all under the control of your bosses. What is not normal is that we allow it.
I don't know what the secret services really want with social media? What I do know is that I stopped using Telegram for over a year ago now, because the scam level is very high.
Because they want to know everything about you. Cause knowledge is power.
What surprised me the most was the marketing cost: $0. And 900 million Telegram users. How is this possible!
I think tbe app is very good, is quite secure, less surveillance and censorship and then the network effect, the more people are on Telegram, the more people will give it a try and join.

I love how hard Telegram is working to keep their users privacy safe
Fast 1 Milliarde User per day.
I never knew a telegram has a lot of users
I have an account but hardly make use of it
I didnt know the founder was Russia
I like telegram, i think its kinda safe compared to whatsapp, and obviously secret services try to sneak in to get informations, they dont like Freedom of speech

i dont know about security but i like using telegram since it is easy to use and the photos and files doesnt get erased unlike viber.
I think it's disgusting how far those agencies will go in order to take away the privacy and freedom that some people are able to create.
I don't have all the details but most of the time its like this, the level of irony and inception; the "good" guys who infiltrate companies to spy on others braking all kind of rules, bad guy stuff; then manipulate data because they want the best for everyone, I don't like politics but can't denied the manipulation behind this kind of actions to control others
This is really worrying. That is why decentralization is important.
It's totally wild the crap that goes on that many people never see or care to look into. I mean just looking back at all CIA docs and you really don't think that stuff is still going on at scale now.
Telegram is currently the best privacy protection software in the world
I don't like the government trying to infiltrate and subvert stuff. I feel like it doesn't really help anyone but the people who want to stay in power.
yea.. they need to not be so nosy.. and my friend just get scammed on telegram.. not the platform's fault at all.. just that its a scammers app..
