Hive Feature Request: Make it possible to embed Hive posts on other websites

Gestern habe ich aufgrund eines Kommentars von @stayoutoftherz über die Hive Front-Ends nachgedacht und den meisten Usern ist wahrscheinlich auch aufgefallen, dass die Front-Ends vor allem hive.blog die letzten Jahre kaum noch weiterentwickelt wurden.

@lordbutterfly hat es unlängst noch radikaler ausgedrückt, die Innovation in Bezug auf Social-Media ist auf Hive nahezu tot.

Das letzte große Feature-Update war die Implementierung von Communities und dann hat sich durch die feindliche Steemit-Übernahme, das Entwicklerteam praktisch aufgelöst und die Entwicklung ist zu einem Stillstand gekommen.

Vor allem hive.blog, @peakd ist schon ziemlich gut und @ecency hat sich über die letzten Jahre merklich verbessert.

Ein Feature, das ich allerdings auf Hive noch vermisse, ist das Einbetten von Hive-Posts in andere Websites (oder auf Hive selbst), wie das von Twitter her bekannt ist und alle sozialen Netzwerke unterstützen.

Damit könnte man die Sichtbarkeit von einzelnen Postings erhöhen, wenn jemand ein Posting extern einbettet. Unbezahlte Werbung für Hive.

Da Hive mehrere Frontends hat, gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten, wie man das Einbetten lösen könnte. Entweder über ein eigenes, frontend-übergreifendes Service oder jedes Front-End könnte es dezentral implementieren und auch grafisch etwas anders gestalten.

Was haltet ihr davon? Denkt ihr, das Einbetten von Hive-Posts in andere Websites würde Sinn machen? Welche Features fehlen euch noch auf Hive?

Yesterday I was thinking about the Hive front-ends based on a comment from @stayoutoftherz and most users probably also noticed that the front-ends especially hive.blog have hardly evolved the last few years.

@lordbutterfly recently put it even more drastically, innovation in regards to social media is pretty much completely dead here.

The last major feature update was the implementation of communities and then due to the hostile Steemit takeover, the dev team virtually disbanded and development has come to a standstill.

Especially hive.blog, @peakd is already pretty good and @ecency has improved noticeably over the last few years.

One feature I still miss on Hive, though, is embedding Hive posts on other sites (or on Hive itself), as is familiar from Twitter and all social networks support that.

This could be used to increase the visibility of individual posts when someone embeds a post externally. Unpaid advertising for Hive too.

Since Hive has multiple front-ends, there are two ways that embedding could be solved. Either via a separate, cross-frontend service or each front-end could implement it in a decentralized way and also design it a bit differently on each site.

Do you think embedding Hive posts into other websites would make sense? What features are you still missing on Hive?

Was mir fehlt ist, das man keine kurz Videos einfach hochladen kann. 3 speak hab ich ausprobiert und die Erfahrung hat mir nicht gefallen.

Das einbetten von YouTube funktioniert da besser.

Ecency hat es jetzt wohl möglich gemacht Videos hochzuladen. Das werden ich mal ausprobieren.

Guter Punkt, kurze Videos sollte man wie ein Foto einbetten können, ohne den Umweg über 3speak bzw. könnte 3speak vlt das Hosting übernehmen, mit den Front-Ends zusammenarbeiten.

Ja ich hab mich auch mega gefreut als ich es gelesen habe :)
Mit shorts und all dem sind wir noch weit entfernt, auch wäre ein system hilfreich schnell freunde zu finden und gleichgesinnte.
Es sollte optionen geben wie man bessere generische feeds generieren kann um neuen usern schnell passenden content zu liefern. Schwirig aber machbar mit all de tags etc.

Habs gerade nochmals probiert, ecency erkennt mehr ne video date en nicht, sie werden gar nicht angezeigt. Leider :)

Hi, hab gesehen du hast schon eine Erklärung von Melbournewest bekommen. Hat es jetzt geklappt mit den Videos? Falls nicht gibt bescheid weil dann würde ich die Ecency devs informieren

Ich finde nde du hast durchaus recht das einbetten ist ein n muss. Aber ch fände das ch es cool wenn pols (umfragen) auch möglich wären (nicht nur au leo)

Peakd and Ecency have bee evolving continuously, adding more and more features. Hive.blog seems monotonous though. It has been long since I visited this front end.

You have given a good advice. I think some devs will come forward to give the feature a try.

Ja, definitiv würde das die "visibility" von Hive Posts erhöhen und dadurch auch die Brand promoten. Bei den beiden Frontends Ecency und PeakD merkt man schon eine Weiterentwicklung, letztens auch durch die Video Upload-Funktion bei Ecency; bei Hive.blog hingegen tut sich nichts. LeoFinance macht zwar viel Promo hier auf Hive für seine Frontend aber mich überzeugt es noch nicht ganz. Die Threads sind cool aber bei der Erstellung von längeren Posts sind PeakD und Ecency meiner Meinung nach besser.

I think it's a nice feature to have and it would make it easier to share about hive. I just don't know about how much demand there is for this when Hive is still relatively unknown to people and we have so many different front-ends.

Es gibt zumindest das super hive von @bambukah , mit dem man seine eigenen Posts in einer (glaube eigenen) Webseite darstellen kann.

Eine von vielen guten Ideen!
Ich maße mir in meiner Rolle als einfacher Anwender nicht an, mich über fehlende Features zu beklagen.
Du bist als Experte in einer anderen Situation. Auf Grund deiner tiefen Kenntnisse hat dein Vorstoß bestimmt Gewicht.
Also hoffen wir mal, dass deine Idee sich in Denser manifestiert.

P.S. Ich arbeite immer noch mit hive.blog. Aber irgendwann muss ich wohl mal umsteigen. Soll ich auf Denser warten?

Probiere doch mal peakd, bis Denser kommt wird es noch eine Zeit dauern, denk ich.
