Ethereum Shanghai / Shapella Upgrade is coming today, which will allow to UNSTAKE staked ETH for the first time, unstake could be quite slow, "could take weeks to months" (April 12th 2023)
Heute wird das lang erwartete Ethererum Shanghai / Shapella Upgrade aktiviert, mit dem man erstmals gestakte ETH unstaken kann, die Unstake-Operation (Withdrawal) könnte ziemlich langsam sein und laut decrypt "Wochen bis Monate dauern".
Bis jetzt konnte man weder die Rewards noch die gestakten ETH unstaken, aber das soll mit dem heutigen Update erstmals möglich werden.
Ein partielles Unstake sollte circa 1 Woche dauern, aber wird je nach Bedarf von der Chain verlangsamt, es gibt eine beschränkte Anzahl von Slots / Queue, damit nicht alle Nodes auf einmal ungestakt werden. Das könnte dann Wochen oder sogar Monate dauern, wenn viele gleichzeitig unstaken wollen.
Bin gespannt, wie viele ETH ungestakt werden und wie sich das auf den Preis auswirkt. Denke aber nicht, dass es zu einem großen Ausverkauf kommt.
Bitcoin ist vielleicht in Erwartung des Upgrades auf 30K gestiegen und Ethereum hat auch zugelegt, ist zuletzt wieder leicht gefallen ($1869).
Im Moment sind circa 18 von 120 Million ETH gestakt, das sind circa 15% des Supplys, die APR beträgt derzeit 4.6%.

Today the long awaited Ethererum Shanghai / Shapella upgrade is activated, with which you can unstake staked ETH for the first time, the unstake operation (withdrawal) could be quite slow and according to decrypt "take weeks to months".
Until now you couldn't unstake rewards or staked ETH, but that should become possible for the first time with today's update.
A partial unstake should take about a week, but will be slowed down as needed by the chain, there is a limited number of slots / queue so that not all nodes are unstaked at once. This could then take weeks or even months if many want to unstake at the same time.
I'm curious how many ETH will be withdrawn and how this will affect the price. Don't think there will be a big sell off though.
Bitcoin may have risen to 30K in anticipation of the upgrade and Ethereum has also risen, recently falling slightly again ($1,869).
Right now about 18 out of 120 million ETH are staked, that's 15% of the supply, APR is currently 4.6%.

This is a good news for crypto market and can make positive impact on it.
I never staked any Ethereum for that reason alone. It's a cool development and may make people more willing to stake it since they can finally unstake it!
Wird echt Zeit! Die gestakten ETH waren sehr lange eingefroren. Denke aber nicht, dass viel davon verkauft wird, jetzt wo ein neuer Bullenmarkt vor der Tür steht.
Sehe ich auch so, wird vermutlich nicht so dramatisch sein.
Bedenkt dabei, dass die Einstiegskurse von vielen sehr günstig waren und jetzt bei knapp 2k eine Menge Gewinn gemacht wurde. Es werden mit Sicherheit einige ihre Gewinne realisieren.

Kurzfristig vermute ich Preisdruck nach unten, mittelfristig wird es wohl keine Rolle spielen, langfristig wird es den Kurs weiter beflügeln, wenn Unternehmen die Möglichkeit von Staking nutzen können. Auf BTC gibt's schließlich keine Rewards. Man stelle sich vor, dass Michael Saylor statt BTC ETH halten würde.
Dann würde er knapp 5 % Zinsen einfahren.

Endlich; wurde auch Zeit dafür. Das Zeitfenster von Wochen bis Monaten sorgt für keine große Euphorie aber immerhin. Bin sehr gespannt wie sich das Ganze auspendelt, denn die Zeichen deuten auf einen anstehenden "Bullenmarkt".
yep, das Unstaking kommt mir auch sehr langsam vor, andererseits auf Hive 13 Wochen, ist auch lange, zu lange (bin für Reduktion auf max 4 Wochen), aber wenigstens vorhersehbar, während es bei Ethereum auf die Queue ankommt.
Bin da bei dir; also die 13 Wo auf Hive sind teils schon brutal.

I don't have any staked ETH but it sounds like a nightmare if you don't even know how long the process will take. I wonder how many people will be unstaking and getting out of their positions now that it is possible though.
