Habe vor Kurzem eine witzige Nachricht über Deutschland gelesen. Thema "Neuland". So wie Österreich überlegt Deutschland einen "Klimabonus" (Cashback für erhöhte CO2-Steuern) einzuführen.

Dazu müsste der Staat jedem Brüger einen bestimmten Betrag überweisen. Doch das scheitert im Moment an der Verwaltung und kann laut Bericht frühestens 2025 geschehen. Erstens fehlen die Kontodaten der Bürger und zweitens kann der Staat angeblich nur 100.000 Transaktionen pro Tag bewältigen.

Das wäre langsamer als Bitcoin und die meisten Blockchains 😂 Bitcoin schafft laut Blocktivity zu Peak-Zeiten über 1 Million Operationen pro Tag, wenn man mehrere Outputs in einer Transaktion zusammenfasst, was die Börsen standardmäßig machen, um Fees zu sparen.

Was sagt ihr dazu, dass Deutschland "nur" 100.000 Transaktionen pro Tag schafft? Mit dieser Geschwindigkeit würde Deutschland ein bis zwei Jahre benötigen, um allen Bürgern etwas überweisen zu können.

In my opinion, this seems to be a beneficial measure to encourage people to reduce their CO2 emissions and engage in the fight against climate change. However, I find it surprising that the German government faces so many difficulties with bank transfers (it's too slow; they should explore other transfer options).

Überrascht mich nicht. Deutschland ist schon jenseits seiner Kapazität, in vielen Bereichen.

It sounds like a huge problem with their infrastructure if they can only manage 100,000 transactions per day. It doesn't make sense given how technology has improved.

Die »bürokratische Langsamkeit des Seins« gehört zum deutschen Kulturgut. Vergleichbar mit dem »Jammern auf höchstem Niveau« oder »der stabilen Ignoranz gegenüber Veränderungen im Umfeld«. Ich wage nun den Versuch, der Langsamkeit einen Schub in die Gegenrichtung zu verleihen und übermittele noch heute Christian Lindner meine IBAN-Daten. 2025 wird es zwar aller Voraussicht nach das Girokonto in seiner jetzigen Form nicht mehr geben (zumindest im Rest der Welt) – aber die Zuversicht stirbt wohl ganz zum Schluss. Zudem gesellt sich die Tatsache, dass 2025 eine Bundestagswahl ansteht. Im Vorfeld eines solchen Events wird manchmal auch der Turbo gezündet.
