dCity Progress Update #15

Introduction
Good day to everyone, a week had passed in the city and it's time to update the progress of my city and the things that happen in the city. In today's post, I will be doing a general sharing on my new citizen that joined the workforce and look at the current prices of SIM tokens.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment. While the total number of bubbles did not increase, but within the bubble I did have a new citizen joining us.

Unemployment currently remained at 1, for now it is still not too bad while I continue to monitor the market situation in search of the buildings that I will need to further develop the city. The only struggle is whether to get the so called "tech cards" to build the foundation of the city or just focus solely on the income. No matter how, whichever comes and the price is right, I will swoop it and add it to my city.

This week the city welcome a new citizen that converted from student into the workforce. And this new citizen will serve the army as a soldier, giving me tax refund and also an additional 0.1 war share. Increase in war share so far still not moving the needle to give me more war earnings yet but still is a good metric to continue building.

I am looking forward to more of my young citizens converting to students and subsequently joining the workforce.

SIM Market Watch
Something caught my eye in the market and this is why I wanted to share with everyone whether or not you are playing dCity.

While it didn't look very obvious, but as we approach into the July timeframe, though very subtle, SIM token prices have demonstrated an increasing trend since late April which is really great. This potentially tells of increased confidence in the game and its token. Ever since I started playing dCity since the start of the year, I have been accumulating SIM be it through NFT sales or daily income from my city.

At this moment, I will also be trying to seek ways to increase my SIM holdings to increase my daily Hive and try to get into the SIM Millionaire as soon as possible. There is much to look out for and I believe there will be more things released for the game in time to come, so let's continue building up more SIM as I expect further appreciation in prices for the token when new elements/features are being released.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 145,233 SIM. Another good week of SIM increase where I've manage. tosell a couple of Young Citizen NFT cards. I am really amazed how I come this far in terms of SIM accumulation, but definitely I am still very distant away from the goal of entering the SIM Millionaire group which requires additional effort to muster more SIM tokens.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.81 liquid Hive per month. The numbers continue to increase and building towards the goal I had for using the liquid Hive to fund for Hive Power Up Day as we inch towards a 1 Hive per month from just this earning. At this moment, it look a little far-fetch being able to get 10 Hive per month, however as I continue to grow, one day I know I will reach there.

Closing
So thankful for the new citizen whom become a soldier which help further improve my tax refund metric and subsequently the price of SIM Token is looking good as we continue to see possible confidence in the game and await more updates/development to the game. I am enjoying this game alot and it doesn't take up alot of time daily.
