Reputation as a currency.

I have not been active on the Hive blockchain because of some projects I need to conclude. However, my mind has been here all day.

The Hive reputation score is a way to know how active a user is here and how they have been doing. We know Hive abusers with their reputations and sometimes badges and we know the people that are doing well with their reputations. My current reputation is 73 and I think that is decent enough to show I have been active here.

Some years ago, on the Steem blockchain, the Obyte blockchain did an AirDrop for people based on their reputation score. I received and so was everyone that took part. While this did not go well with their tokens being dumped, this shows there is a need to keep the reputation score on this blockchain. I see this as a good reason to keep an excellent reputation at all times.

I got into a conversation with a friend and it is all about what currency will be in the future. Anything can be money and that is why we have crypto today. Crypto is already a currency and we are spending. 1 or 2 of 10 people in Nigeria now know about Bitcoin even if they do not have it.

The friend suggested so many things that generate power and means for survival like water, but I think reputation is the first currency that we spend. Reputation creates trust and a belief system. No one will interact with you if you have a poor reputation. Have you ever voted on a post of a person with a -2 reputation with the abuse badge because they write good content? The content they write does not matter again because they already have a terrible reputation. And this seems like reputation is even more important than what you sell.

How would you buy on Ali express and have trust that you will get your items in any country where you live? We invest in different systems because we trust in them and trust is based on reputation.

Pancakeswap TVL today is $2,793,717,357, and this is because of the reputation they have built, even though many people do not know who is behind the pancake or the colour of their skin. Their reputation is speaking for them.
