A Sunday filled with serenity and joy

It was a relaxing Sunday for me yesterday. It had been a busy week, and I was so happy that the weekend had come. I made sure to rest as much as I could. However, I did some chores very early in the morning, then I watched some movies. After spending the morning at home, I felt the urge to take a walk. I usually do it when I want to clear my head, observe the environment and just enjoy the sight of nature. This time, I decided to take a walk to a river just close to where I live.

Within minutes, I was there, and must say, it was a worthwhile visit. I loved the view. While there was some water, most of the water had either dried up or receded. So most of what was visible was mud. The surrounding trees contributed to making the view nice. I loved the feel of the wind against my skin as I stood and enjoyed the view. It was the serenity I always loved. The peace and quiet in the environment was soothing.

There was no way I was going to leave that place without taking photos of the view. I decided to make it black and white photos. I just wanted something different for a change. I had fun taking the photos. There's this satisfaction that comes with taking good pictures.

After my time at the riverside, I made my way home. There was an important football game I had to watch that evening. It was my favorite team, Manchester United, going up against a very tough opponent in Liverpool. It was a cup game and the winner would go ahead to the semi-finals. To be honest, I had huge doubts about my team winning the game because they haven't performed well all season. The game was really a rollercoaster. I watched on TV as my team, who were close to losing, came back to win it after 120 minutes of football. I screamed my lungs out as the winning goal was scored in a game that had 7 goals scored. It was a joyful and happy moment for me. One that made my day.

By the time the game was over, it was already dark, and it seemed to me like the day had gone by really fast. Well, they say time flies when you're having fun. However, I was satisfied.

So I can say that I had an amazing Sunday. One filled with serenity, fun, and happiness. It's a day I won't forget in a hurry. I intend to have another amazing day like yesterday, so I will definitely be visiting the riverside pretty soon and, hopefully, watch a game too.
