It Began Like A Dream

(edited)

Let me first begin by introducing my best played list song of four years ago "We Go Win” by Cobhams Asuquo.

It would do you well to listen as you read, just as I am currently doing while making this post.
Is it funny to say four years just now? I guess some people had forgotten how frightening it was back then since it seemed to look so long already.
I could remember how the lockdown first came as a joke and then came the sit at home.
This period was one of the most frightening moments for most families. I even came across one of those memes that says “If you survived this covid then nothing can kill you again” oh right, it might not sound funny since I am typing in a general language.

My family had it pretty tough..hehehe this song is really triggering so many emotions within me and I would honestly not want to go in deep thoughts on my experience.
Since the majority of us had it tough during that season it would perhaps be more understanding when we have the feeling of each other's pain.

That's right, and in all that happened I believe one common thing that we could be thankful for is the reunion of family.
Now this is not the issue of if mom and dad are on good terms or precisely having a child schooling abroad.

At that point in time, all that runs in our thoughts is safety. We'll want to be safe and our families as well. Most homes kept the rift between themselves and watched solemnly for each other back. That's right, we became our brother's keeper.

The challenges and hunger strike my family and I faced cannot be overemphasized but then, there was this peace within knowing everyone around you is well and kicking. It was better hearing my younger brothers act up because they're hungry than seeing them sick. And it would be funny to say that I also found peace when I saw my parents fight and quarrel in the midst of everything and that's because I know they wouldn't kill themselves no matter how tense the situation looked.

My peace of mind revolves firmly on my family and no matter how annoying they were, I was glad and happy that we could sit together and watch the news. Oh yes! All eyes were on all news channels, that was one trend everyone was ready to follow.

Now thinking this through, it's been four years since my family had its complete members under one roof.. Oh wow!!

Would it be wrong to say I miss that feeling? Hehehe.. Before someone would ask me what the color of my problem is hahaha 😅.
It was a tense period and I believe we'll know better since it happened in our lifetime. However as heart warming as the feeling comes, i wouldn't want to experience another world war crisis and seeing people lose their loved ones.
Aside from that, I don't think I could imagine myself bearing the hunger that came with the covid i wouldn't want to see my younger ones crying over food either.

We've arrived at the conclusion of this matter, the disadvantage is more than the advantage and due to this reason going back in time is someone i wouldn't pray for. We could always reunite as a family and that I would look forward to during the yearly holidays.

The COVID era was not a good experience at all, thank God we are still alive to tell the story.

Popped in from Dreemport, always an awesome #dreemerforlife.

You are right. There are circumstances and situations that I know I wouldn't want to experience again in my live. That covid lock down is one of them.

I guess no one would pray to go back to such misfortune.

Thank you dreemer❤

It truly came with a lot of disadvantages despite having few advantages. And those advantages can actually still be found in some other periods.

I really do not pray to witness a time like that COVID period, it was actually very scary.
