First Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania 40

Did you catch Raw last night?
Man, talk about starting with a bang!
Triple H came out, looking all cool as hell like always and introduced Cody Rhodes, the new WWE Universal Heavyweight championship into the ring.
Cody spoke about where he had been on his journey and stuff, which got him choked up.
Then, know what? The Rock’s music hit! Everyone went nuts in Philly.
For a while there at first The Rock didn’t say much of anything but stood there absorbing the chants mixed with Boooos.
But then he began speaking and believe me when I tell you that guy knows how to work a crowd.
Now to be fair some of Cody’s speeches can get a little too mushy for my tastes. It was like a breath of fresh air when The Rock showed up though.
He had them all so wrapped around his finger that they wouldn’t let him speak at first. Eventually quieting them down, he gave Cody some credit for what he had done. Even uttering a few choice words that I’m sure censors were pissed about.
It all came down to this after all the talking: The Rock respects Cody and congratulated him on becoming a champ. However, he did not stop at that point but suddenly said something shocking: when he returns (no one knows when it will happen), he is going straight for Cody.
Then I got really thrilled! It sounded as if a whole new storyline was already in motion.
And then, there was this moment when The Rock gave Cody something from his pocket. I am sure it has to do with Dusty Rhodes who happens to be Cody's father. You could see from Cody’s face that it had to be very special.
Generally, I felt bipolar about the section. It took forever and I began to flag off honestly speaking. But I can’t wait for what would happen between The Rock and Cody; there exists some tension there. It’s like clash of generations, don’t ya think?
Anyway, I’m gonna miss seeing The Rock on screen though also happy how Cody takes being champ. This is going to be an interesting ride!
