An End of an Era for the Weekly HSBI Giveaway
It looks like the end may be here for this event that has been running for 79 weeks now. Hive Watchers informed me that I am not running a giveaway because I am accepting compensation, and is therefore vote buying/gambling. As you see, today I am declining any payout on the giveaway. However, as a general rule I have been giving out more than I have earned from these posts. Couple that with the time commitment of three to four hours to put this together every week and overall decline in my compensation on my other posts recently... It doesn't make sense to move forward without a way to fund it.
I am open to ideas or suggestions, because the whole reason I put this together is to give back to the Hive community that has been so kind to me over the last two and a half years. So feel free to share any opinions or ideas to make it possible to move forward with this endeavor. I would appreciate any feedback or ideas.
Rather than go with the standard format, today I will only be awarding prizes. I will gather all of the entries from last week and get you all on the wheel of names. So good luck, and I hope this isn't the end of the party forever! But there will be no more contest or prizes awarded until further notice. Sorry everyone!

Sorry to read that this is against the ideas of the HW as how a give-away should look like. You really did put a lot of work into this. I hope you'll find a different way to make it work for all.
I did a lot of social work, free of charge, without benefits in mind, especially during the pandemic. A friend/client asked me what I'll get out of it, and when I said "some people give me a tip", she said: "That's not right. Every effort should be rewarded properly." We talked a little, and the idea of combing social efforts that benefit my business in a small way was born. I still do everything from the heart, but now, when it's ill received (which happens), I can say "at least it wasn't for nothing."

I read their comments maybe if you add as beneficiary some winners instead of hsbi? thats what they would approved ? 20% of post rewards to winners? (can be less or more not sure )
I'm not sure, the only way they seem to approve is if you refuse all payment. Oh, and they also called all of the second level HE tokens worthless, so EDSI, PIMP, DUO, etc are all worthless too...

That's a sad news... your weekly giveaway blogs were unique and with so much detail and love.. Unfortunantely you can't do anything against Hivewatchers on Hive. Most users don't agree with Hivewatchers, but they don't care...

I missed the last week and when I am back now it's all over.
I hope you could come up with some better and fresher idea, people are getting too serious about everything and forget about being fun and joy in here
I'm looking for ways to make something work, it might have to come down to all tokens given away coming in as donations and run it through a different hive account so I don't have to turn away votes from this account. I don't mind putting in the time for free if I'm helping others out, but I'll have to reach out to some tribes and see if they would be willing to donate to garner more attention to their projects. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!
