The last Monday of August in the UK is a bank holiday and it is the last holiday of the year before Christmas.

The weekend is also the end of summer and is home to the Nottinghill Carnival in London and also the Reading and Leeds music festivals.

One of the healine acts is a fantastic band from across the pond, Las Vegas to be exact.

I can't remember seeing them on ttt but as I always like to look on the brightside, I give you The Killers.

The Killers - Mr Brightside

Okay let's kick off with their biggest hit and arguably most recognisable hit Mr Brightside!

This is the live version from Reading festival at the weekedm!

Did you know next month it will be 20 years since it was released!

I am not really a fan of the naughties as a musical decade but The Killers were one of the bands that made the decade, and Mr Brightside was right up there as The song of the decade.

The Killers - Somebody Told Me

When I think of The Killers, Somebody Told Me pops in to mind, it is another iconic tune of theirs!

Well somebody told me that you had a boyfriend
Who looked like a girlfriend

I am sure you recognise that!

The Killers - All These Things That I've Done

Whenever I hear The Killers, in my mind images of my trips to Las Vegas pop into my head!

And fitting my favourite song from The Killers is All These Things That I've Done, and I must say the list is pretty fluffing long!

I hope that you enjoyed these The Killers tunes.

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

They're a great band! I loved listened to them at school in the 00s. Somebody Told Me is always my favourite, and they have some underrated tunes like, Spaceman, Read My Mind, Bones.

I really dig The Killers. They are one of those bands that I always forget about and then I hear them and I remember how much I love them. Great stuff here. They did a cover of Carolina in my Mind by James Taylor that was fantastic.

aha James Taylor. I must admit when a band does a cover and it is good, it can be great but boy there are some rotten covers out there!

Yeah, that is a good point. I have heard some quite nasty covers in my time!

Never heard them, third number was the one I enjoyed of the three you have listed.

Lively to say the least, nice upbeat to get going!

!LUV music, another to be on the lookout for...

Jokes aside. I haven't heard of them before and I like them. Especially the third tune.

Whoa! Mr brightside! Tengo, the ending was so epic, quite a while I since I've heard crowd sing louder than the artist. I've never been a fan of this band, but I proudly say I was amazed. The song is truly a hit!

In fact, You open up a wonderful day for me with your amazing recommendations. Please do well to have a wonderful day 🤗🤗.

One of the best bands from the early 2000's. They were great then, and they still are. Magnificent post, @tengolotodo

Cracking band, and they were here in Edinburgh on Wednesday. One of the guys I work with went to see them. I might have gone if I'd known they were in town !

Nice songs! Sorry I missed them on Tuesday, been a crazy week around here. Those Vegas trips can cause flashbacks... but it's always a lot of fun. Great picks!
