Hello Hello to all the music lovers of Hive and everyone of course!

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it is #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes!

I was in the kitchen early this morning as I promised Mrs T some chicken soup. So I was boiling the chicken carcase and that got me to thinking!

Haha yep first up and the reason we are doing a ttt all about Skrillex is because of this song.

Tune 1 Skrillex & Habstrakt - Chicken Soup

There are so many remixes, but I shall leave you with the original (for the now).

Tune 2 Skrillex - My Name Is Skrillex

Rewind to 2010 and his first EP, this was given away for free on his MySpace page. Whatever happened to MySpace (that really was THE place for musicians)?

He falls under so many categories : EDM brostep dubstep electro house EDM trap moombahton post-hardcore house. But I put him as EDM (electronic dance music) because I can't really tell them all apart!

Tune 3 SKRILLEX & THE DOORS - BREAKN' A SWEAT

He has done a heap of collaborations and this one with the Doors is pretty bang one!..

Jim Morrison famously quipped that one day, music would be made not with a band and regular instruments, but one man and a computer. Skrillex is the living representation of Morrison’s prophecy, and here he had the incomparable opportunity to work with Morrison’s band The Doors, reinterpreting the legendary poets own lyrics and musical message.

Skrillex was born Sonny John Moore in 1988 and had a pretty mental upbringing, which may well have inspired him in his choices!

I think Myspace is still kicking around. It is pretty dead though if I remember right. It basically got pawned by Facebook. Which is too bad because it had a totally different use case.

Phew. I have to say, not my cup of tea. Considering I am one of the few people who don't like chicken soup either (actually can't even stand the smell of it) I figure it's a fit. 😉

But I learned something new today in a musical sense, thank you for that 😄

Chicken Soup - what a tune man, and why have I not heard of this one, banger of a tune, love the whole thing, the beats, the random sounds, the lyrics, quality stuff @tengolotodo

Bloody hard to keep up with all the feckin genres eh!!

That second one from back in the Myspace days is a good tune as well, but not as good as Chicken dinner.
