Getting Lost in The Jungle 🐘🀣

Hello Hello to all the music lovers of Hive

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it is #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

I love the 80s and I know this is week 89 of ttt and so yesterday I was playing sounds from 1989 hehe, let's see what you think!

First of all ...

Let's get stuck right in...

The formalities

If you wish to participate in Three Tune Tuesday then I defer you to the simple jist on how to do it from @ablaze ...

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

This week is week 89 of ttt and if you wish to participate then follow the rules laid out by @ablaze in his post from last week The National for Three Tune Tuesday Week 88

Do Go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the five sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this world of ours!

Formalities over, let's get back to 1989!

There are so many bands and musicians to choose from, narrowing that down to 3 let alone only choosing three tunes is proving mightily hard!

I think you will see that these 3 tunes I have chosen are pretty diverse, and that shows my music likes, from one extreme to another!

Tune 1 Fine Young Cannibals - She Drives Me Crazy

FYC were a brilliant band and had so many tunes that I want to play for ttt, perhaps I shall a write a whole ttt post for them in the future.
Roland Gift the singer, damn I love his voice, I think he has a unique style and sound.

Fun Fact about FYC... Their name came from the 1960 film All the Fine Young Cannibals starring Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood.
Fun Fact 2 Mrs T was named after Natalie Wood.

Tune 2 Samantha Fox - I Wanna Have Some Fun

Samantha Fox the singer is probably more known as Sam Fox the Page 3 girl.
In the UK in our tabloid newspapers we used to have the tradition of Page 3 girls, where girls are pictured topless. Sam Fox was probably the most famous of the topless bunch.

I am pretty sure this will be a ttt debut for a topless model.

Tune 3 Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle

One for all the GNR fans. This was taken from their debut album, which I think was the best. It is strange how quite often the bands you like, it is their debut albums that got you addicted to them and they are often the best (well in my eyes anyway)!

Guns N Roses.. Do you like them?

Well Welcome To The Jungle it brings back so many memories for me of working in West Africa and getting Lost In The Jungle 🐘🀣. I am sure people who know that story are bored of it already!

I hope that you enjoyed these 1989 inspired tunes

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.

I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎢🎡🎢

Ohoooo, these songs are really the lively one. Starting your day with these will surely make you groove to the day all day. I particularly like the second song. That's the only song I am familiar, I heard that here in our place before, haha.

FYC did have a thing for sure. Sam, which teen boy didn't know her then..? and Gunning for Roses where in the Tops at the time anyway. Ha, 1980's what a decade... Now that particular year of mainstream music i would have chosen:

NO! I was going to do Ren, and was all set out to do it, and then I remembered either @ablaze or @trucklifefamily had already done him so I skipped it, feeling like a dick that's late to the party. Then I was going to do 'three songs that get stuck in my head whilst surfing', but then I got wrapped up in writing a play, and when I write creatively I MUST publish it immediately for some reason. So maybe I'll join in next week.

ah Ren yeah I think ablaze posted a couple of weeks ago.
Well it is good you wrote a play, I know what you mean about publishing immediately. That is one problem with creative writing I have if I don't publish then I am forever updating, one problem I have with my writing of my book🀣
Looking forward to next week then.

I do remember your story getting lost in the jungle where you found your way back to civilization while you're doing some magic out there in the woods, lol! My first time listening to these tunes Tito Ed, although I encountered some GNR songs before.

Hahaha! 🀣

I've been meaning to participate in the #TTT and hopefully do it next week. I like soft (light) rock, pop and country music, Tito Ed. Was just listening to the husband play the guitar and sing a little while ago.😊

Light rock and pop and country, hmm not a country fan but I light rock and pop I wonder how old or new that is...

Will be good to try Tito Ed. The farmboy just play when he feels like it. He was singing Lady Gaga's Always Remember Us This WayπŸ˜„

HAppy Wednesday Super Eli, I am in catch up mode. I liked some of their songs, but not a big fan as such!

hehe you have listened to it!!!

I do enjoy some Guns and Roses. I was listening to one of their recent live shows though and Axel sounds pretty rough. His voice has not held up well over the years. The same is true with Vince Neil and Brett Michaels though. I saw them this past summer and while their stage presence is still okay (especially Poison) the vocals are just not quite up to snuff. I'd prefer to listen to them when they were in their prime like this.

Yeah I can imagine their stage presence will still be there. But their voices, that is a shame if rough as that is what made them I think.
I am with you, best listening to them as they were in their prime.

In the UK in our tabloid newspapers we used to have the tradition of Page 3 girls, where girls are pictured topless.

Interesting. Guess they hide them there as a precaution for the under aged? In Germany the most famous tabloid (called "BILD") has them either below the fold on front page or on the last page so everyone else can see it while someone is reading the newspaper.

Guns N Roses.. Do you like them?

Yes

Which was your favourite (if any) ?

"Welcome to the jungle" of course. πŸ˜‰

It is strange how quite often the bands you like, it is their debut albums that got you addicted to them and they are often the best (well in my eyes anyway)!

I know that feeling, have it with "Die Γ„rzte". Though not the debut album but the very first album I had. I still favor their older tunes. Maybe it's a sentimental thing?

I still favor their older tunes. Maybe it's a sentimental thing?

I don't think so, I still remember bands that release their next album and I was hmm I preferred the previous.

I think now it would be classed as sentimental.

hehe yeah I figured you would pick Welcome to the Jungle!

Hahahaha, this #ttt is great, friend @tengolotodo, I didn't remember the first two songs, wow, thanks for bringing them back to my memory. And well, the one I like the most is Welcome to the jungle, great!

I really like GNR! Compared to other "hair rock" bands of that era such as Skid Row, Motley Crue & Poison - Guns N' Roses actually made really good songs with good lyrics. πŸ™‚

Welcome to the Jungle!!!!!! Tune!!!!!! Can't believe that was 1989, I actually thought it was a bit later. Such a cracker of a tune, it just never gets old to my ears. Always love hearing it. Nice mix of tunes you picked from 89 too, the Samantha Fox song reminds me of pump the jam at the very start, speaking of which....
