Cracking X Episode 7 Hello December
Hello Hello Hivians and Threaders and Xters!
It is Thursday and that means that it is time for one of my designated X reports.
X as in what was formerly known as Twitter.
Today is my first report in December!
Web2 they aren't your accounts, when will people learn!
It seems each week I am telling you about someone that has been banned or lost their web2 account.
We have had X bans, and an instagram ban.
The latest is a girl who was banned from TikTok!
Well people, build your brand on web3 if you are going to do that!
I do like some of the Zealy Marketing campaign quests.
There was one today about something nice that has happened to you on Hive.
I thought I would post about getting rewards from hive and buying swan and bird food with Hive rewards and then posting the bird pictures.
I even attached a wee video
Well just like Hive when you think you make a great post it bombs 🤣
I had one comment and one repost (thank you @beeeee for that!)
I can still see a concerted effort from so many people getting the Hive name known on X and other web2 media. A big pat on your back if you are one of those people.
IT IS WORKING .... We are onboarding influencers and more users, the December Marketing campaign is in full swing and there is still 10k USD up for grabs in rewards of various forms.

You would have perhaps guessed by the title that this post is about X (formerly Twitter).
This is the seventh episode that I have been showing my stats. I shall be reporting my findings and progress.
My goals for X are twofold:
1 Become monetized
2 Spread the Hive word and onboard users
Following 1671 | 1667 | 1716 | 1721 | 1735 | 1734 | this ep 1759
Followers 2687 | 2715 | 2740 | 2747 | 2757 | 2771 | this ep 2804
So I have been slowly removing users I have been following that either don't engage or we are not aligned.
My followers count increased by 33, actually it was more, because X are still suspending accounts left right and centre, and those get removed from your following.
To become monetized you need to do these 3 things:
✔️ Subscribe to Premium or Verified Organizations
❌ Have at least 5M impressions on your posts within the last 3 months
✔️ 500 followers

That is done to @tsunsica and the Zealy marketing campaign, I was named in a couple of quests for engaging with, so that upped my engagement numbers.
Actually it was fun meeting more Hivians on web2 and then building connections with them on Hive!
There are over 30 ways your account can be limited, I have fallen foul of one of them, although I am not sure of which.
Let's have a look at my impressions...
Note it says 5M impressions on your posts within the last 3 months
My last three months' chart for impressions....
So I have 2.7 million (last week was 2.4 million) impressions for the last three months. Oh fluff me, I am well short lol
My reach has gone, the impressions from my comments have gone,
I have had my account limited in someway, I don't know how or what but NO Surrender ....
I am determined to persevere...
I had a purple patch where I could comment and get thousands of impressions, that is keeping my totals up. But I am running out of weeks if I want to monetised.
The football in December is helping me keep my impressions up this month.
Some of the Spaces had led to connections. Getting them to Hive however is not always easy!
The good news is we have 6 games in December, ridiculous but it means many chances to get impressions up.
Finding a balance between X Hive and RL is quite complex at the moment.
In the meantime I shall be aiming to follow some X strategies we have devised with some other members of INLEO. Can people work as a team? We shall find out!
But if anyone wants to Team up to try and crack X please do let me know!

That's definitely one of the things that sucks about Hive. I can write a post that is totally awesome and it gets no love. Then I write one that I put less than 100 percent into and it goes parabolic!

hehe so I have stopped worrying about rewards, it is what it is.
But on the occasions I do bust my balls and make a travel post and try to get layout and edit pics and that, I will split it into two now.
I always share my article from Hive to Twitter, but I am not sure which tags I should put there. Thanks for disclosing more through this articles!

That is always the way, when we write something we think is brilliant it can bomb, but something we think is average is really popular. I guess it shows that anything is possible in social media. Good luck with your X journey.

I hardly use Twtr now, but I check on it now and then. I get better engagement on Hive, but our userbase is still tiny. We need to grow in niche areas to build communities around interests. If those get active enough then we may attract more people. I think we ought to focus on those who can't earn much on other platforms.

Yeah you are pretty focused on the Mastodon. I always used Twitter to get Rangers my football team info.
That is the problem though, Hive audience is tiny so getting people across is not easy. Niche communities is a good way to go too.
