It's Saturday well actually it is Monday.
I did take a snapshot on Saturday so that I could check on my savings goals for Hive and making my contribution to the Saturday Savers community.
I can't believe I said snapshot, I am still in airdrop mode. I do love seeing the words "Snapshot taken on xx/xx/xx and anyone with x amount of such and such token is eligible to claim another token"
Just saw one this morning for $HAHA, which sounds like a memecoin on Cosmos, but I qualified with my ATOM, OSMO and TIA stakes, so that will be at least three amounts of peanuts.
It all adds up though!

What is Saturday Savers?
Saturday Savers Club is for anyone who wants to save in any currency for any purpose. The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have fun in the process.

So basically we make two goals. @shanibeer tabulates them all, and every week a post is made by @eddie-earner with all kinds of info and that is where we comment our progress or refer to our update of progress in a post.
Plus of course congratulating and encouraging fellow Hivians.
I'm still not sure how I will be tabulating my progress on my goals this year, so in the meantime this is what you are getting!
UPDATE ON MY SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB GOALS
My Primary Goal ~ Become an InLeo lion
The main one is to become a Lion! This means having a Leo Power of 15,000. I started at 7.5k so that means doubling it.
This means having a staked Leo bag of 15,000 tokens, this was roughly double what I started with which was 7528 LP and now I am 8245 LP.
This week I had an 151 Leo Power increase.
I do like to power up tokens on Hive, it does not matter what they are as it does show your commitment to staying and supporting our blockchain.
Leo Power Up Day was on the 15th so I powered up another 150 Leo to get to that Lion goal!
Secondary Goal Saving 700 HBD
I can't stress how much fun this is, especially if like me you are so not a saver!
This year I intend to have a goal of 700 HBD.
My reasons for choosing HBD as the currency are twofold:
1 In these turbulent time, putting savings into a stablecoin you know you are minimising your risk against market dips.
2 One HBD will always be one dollar's worth of Hive, no matter what happens to the price of Hive.
2 Currently we receive 20% APR on our savings!
The reason I wrote 700 is that I will participate in the penny savings challenge. and with accrued interest I will should hit 700 HBD.
That is the chart you can follow, and you can see for today I should be at 11.76 HBD. so let's go check ...
As we can see I am on 20.442 HBD
☑️ Yes I am 100% on track! So far so good!
In fact I am ever so slightly ahead! That will make Mrs T happy!
I know from experience how hard it is doing the savings weekly especially later in the year, so if you can get a head start so to speak you have more chance of hitting that goal later on!
To keep things interesting, I am saving this HBD in my (not so) secret account @tengogaming.
By doing the penny savings challenge you will accumulate 671 of the token you are saving. As I chose HBD the interest accrued will top it upto 700 HBD.
Token Goals
I have not decided which tokens to track from Hive this year. If I don't make up mind by the end of February then I shall not report them!
I have been trading tokens on Solana and Cosmos/IBC and just created an Airdrop Alpha community here on Hive. There is so much going on at the moment, that just sitting in Hive we can miss out.
HP fun goals
But for the sake of fun, I am going to make two HP goals!
- Main account (@tengolotodo) HP growth from 7370 to 10750 HP, that is a growth of 3380 which is 65 HP per week.
This week it is sitting at 7852. (+90). This is 28 above my goal. - Alt account (@tengolotodo.leo) HP growth from 911 to 2000 HP, that is a growth of 1089 which is 21 HP per week.
This week it is sitting at 1131. (+27). This is 6 above my goal.
The two HP goals are both ahead!
I might actually make my HP goals this year!
4 for 2024 or my 4 for 24!
I have been so busy setting a community and trading that reporting things are taking time!

I think it's very valid to stack the tokens we earn from communities, it really shows our commitment to strengthening our ties.
I will really enjoy following your progress from now on, as it helps to motivate us. I also have goals to achieve and the journey to achieve as much as possible in a month will be fun.
About HBD, you honestly opened my mind to it, as I always thought about other stablecoins and left HBD aside. Without a doubt, it is a great way to escape falling markets. Great tips you gave, I didn't know about Saturday Savers, cool to see more things happening in the Hive ecosystem. Until later!
Yes stacking community tokens really does show your commitment to said community and LEO and InLEO are the obvious candidate for me.
HBD is great, and a good part of your crypto portfolio I believe.
Saturday Savers are a great club and this is my second full year with them. It helps us focus our activities on Hive and gets me into the habit of saving, something I struggle with! You should come join us, it is free and gives you ideas to post about as well as helping you save something...

Saving HBD at 20% is one thing every hiver should take part in because the value remains $1 no matter the rise and fall. Also, staking LEO tokens can't be left out in this case, supporting the blockchain and getting rewarded in return is the way to go.
I am saving HBD but not using the 365 days or 52 weeks challenge.
I would love to know more about the EDS tokens and EDS mining.
